I was in the Concordia Choir in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1971 when Paul J Christiansen penned this arrangement. We read it from xerox copies and performed it at the 1971 Christmas Concerts for 24 thousand people. He was a master of this type of arrangement. This might have been his favorite song near the end of his 49-year career at Concordia. Excellent job choir.
Thanks! Our conductor was in the Concordia Choir when PJ passed away in 1997, and sang at his memorial service as a member of the Choir. PJ was truly a master of beautiful simplicity.
