I think you did excellent. Like you said yourself, keep practicing and you'll soon get rid of those mistakes you find yourself making. Don't worry about it, we all mess up when learning an instrument or a new song until we practice enough to get it down. I think you did an excellent job on that song, it was a very hard piece! ^.^
Despite the few mistakes you made, I think you played it great! Keep up the great work, and I'd love to see more tutorials just like this one for ALL the Zelda games!!!
Absolutely perfect. Many thanks for posting this video. Once we learn how to play calmly, just speed up and the music is beautiful. Congratulations ...
Yeah, practice is very important. When i start learning new songs, I'm usually like :"Damn, I'll never be able to do that" and I always surprise myself. Not giving up is the key
*sigh*... damn commenters... First off, its brilliant. The notes are NOT wrong (maybe one or two, but meh), but in a different key (for all the noobs who think its wrong). As far as I'm aware, and as stated by PianoMasta7, the NES version started on A#/B♭. Apart from that, absolutely fantastic.
ya dude what this guy said... i remember when i couldnt play anything on an instrument but now i can play dragonforce through the fire and the flames on my guitar
yes A is one semitone lower than an A# and yes A# and B# are the same but depending on what chord you are playing then it does matter to those who read sheet music and know chords
If you read music, it is E Flat, G Natural, B Flat, those three notes again, and end with E Flat. It was hard for me, too. You just have to experiment with the notes to see which one is right.
your hand reminds me of one of those real zelda hands in the first nes game when you play piano...they are in a dungeon and they try to grab you and are blue.
great job.thx.dude whats up with ur cam.I know u were playin this but it LOOKed like it was sped up.lol.I saw this on another vid.I feel bad...maybe that guy didnt speed up his video.
it's ok, i was getting into the specifics... haha well basically the piano is tempered so that all the scales sound in tune.. you can look it up. if you played strings like the violin or cello or something you would learn that they're actually sorta different.. so yeah
nice dude and PLZ put the zelda overworld theme (from ocarina of time, y'know the one that goes like DA-da-da....da-Da-Da-DA-DA-DAAAA!... Da-DAAAAAAAAAA!!!!... DA-Da-d'-Da-da-da.... and so on)
hahaha, very nice. I play it differently ofddly enough. Then again I dont normally do the left hand at the same time. That's for the tut kid. Much appreciated. ^.~
yea thers nothing wrong with playing like that its just the only downside is that if you won't be able to read sheet music at all which sometimes does come in handy but A# or Bb their still playing it in an A but it still sounds cool
Ya I play it a bit differently. He still does it better. HELL I wouldn't doubt that that's how Koji Kondo Composed it. It sounds alike, despite te minor changes due to recording buffs. Sounds really nice. My hands aren't all that big, so I have to travel across the board a bit to be able to do anything, so I usually just stick to simple tunes.
maybe taht fast playing might help u to train ur ear as well, cause u not onyl ahve to look at the keys, but also hear waht the notse r. Use taht chance. I woudl recommend u anyway that u should try to play it by ear as much as possible, only if ur really stuck, use this video
i cant find any guitar tabs that include the "left hand" scale part that happens twice near the end of the song, i actually tabbed the whole song out for four acoustic guitars and recorded it on my computer but lost the hard drive and now i cant remember how to play the bass scale sweep thing, anybody know the notes for that? i sore it starts on the open E string
you play better than you teach. But very good just keep working on it and tell you sis to shut up while your playing! Also as a tip, you should say the cords as you play them. :)
thank you. my brother wants me to learn how to play zelda songs. Ocarina of Time is a pretty sweet game. So is the Windwaker one. ha i'm too much of a pansy to beat them though.
yeh i can read sheet music easy but i can't sight read at all, not that it bothers me because i just learn the whole piece anyways. yay for piano playing
ah ok yes i see what you are getting at, i don't learn 'chords' per se but just the notes, so in effect i don't really bother with scale, i just learn the notes off by heart and then i don't have to worry about which scale im in. and yes i know its the wrong way but its the easiest way and it works lol
Ehm... It was a reply for XabhilashX, it doesn't matter... It's a little hard to find keys, but it's a good tutorial, moreover the overworld theme is wonderful ;)
im the same way but i usually play by ear and i always got yelled at for it because i changed the notes in the song fer elise and made it sound cooler and i was never good with reading notes turns out i was playing right the sheet music had a mistake
It is so cute that you sing while playing the left hand lol
This vid was helpful, thankyou soo much for postin it =)

Haha, nice humor, and I found the humming for the left hand actually helpful :)
The humming really helps :)
all i need to do now is practise like a beast. thanks alot for this video.
Yeah, practice is very important. When i start learning new songs, I'm usually like :"Damn, I'll never be able to do that" and I always surprise myself. Not giving up is the key

*sigh*... damn commenters...

Thanks for this, I already knew how to play most of it but I just needed to learn a part which I couldn't figure out by ear. 5 stars.
as a musician myself i don't blame ya at all for humming the melody while playing the harmony :)
aww man i was looking for the theme song on the beginning of the collectors edition disc
Don't worry about the mistakes dude, we're all humans
Nice job
I'm soooo close to being able to play this. Your amazing!
ya dude what this guy said... i remember when i couldnt play anything on an instrument but now i can play dragonforce through the fire and the flames on my guitar

I love that hand thing you do at the end! hehe! I just love it when popel talk with there hands!!! hehe! KINGDOM HEARTS!!! hehe
If you read music, it is E Flat, G Natural, B Flat, those three notes again, and end with E Flat. It was hard for me, too. You just have to experiment with the notes to see which one is right.
i like the strobe effect it helps you catch the keys
hahahaha i now feel better about my playing. your still better than me, but its nece to see ppl who arent afraid to screw up. nice job.
your hand reminds me of one of those real zelda hands in the first nes game when you play piano...they are in a dungeon and they try to grab you and are blue.
Lol i like how when you played the whole song at the end you just recorded sections and edited them together :P
Yea u r such a legend but I am so pathetic without the noted on the screen! And I really wanna play this!

Thanks, I'm in the start now and I'll keep trying. But it's so hard... But I like the song!
This is so... COOL!!!
it's ok, i was getting into the specifics... haha

Yes. There is a natural half step between B and C. Same goes for E and F. E# = F
:-0 . WOW(..still in shock) That was AWESOME.. (faints)
yea thers nothing wrong with playing like that its just the only downside is that if you won't be able to read sheet music at all which sometimes does come in handy but A# or Bb their still playing it in an A but it still sounds cool

Were did you get that piece. Very good tutorial too.
um the physical key is the same for both notes so how can they be different? is the piano psychic and know which scale you are in?
maybe taht fast playing might help u to train ur ear as well, cause u not onyl ahve to look at the keys, but also hear waht the notse r. Use taht chance. I woudl recommend u anyway that u should try to play it by ear as much as possible, only if ur really stuck, use this video

Ocarina of Time is a pretty sweet game. So is the Windwaker one. ha i'm too much of a pansy to beat them though.
not bad.. i mean coooooooollll
@ThisIsElNegro It actually does. It's known as C. # means up one semitone. One semitone up from B? Hmm, C.
Just sayin'.
now if only i could write this down
LOL! I didn't notice 'till now XD!
Nice ear!
yeh i can read sheet music easy but i can't sight read at all, not that it bothers me because i just learn the whole piece anyways. yay for piano playing

It's a little hard to find keys, but it's a good tutorial, moreover the overworld theme is wonderful ;)
what do u mean it matters? a#/b flat are the same, and a is one semitone lower than a#. where are you "cancelling the flat/sharp"
i feel like walking through the forest or something
@hitandrundude44
You'r right I guess it's not completely out of key.
im the same way but i usually play by ear and i always got yelled at for it because i changed the notes in the song fer elise and made it sound cooler and i was never good with reading notes
turns out i was playing right the sheet music had a mistake
@Bizzaree but those are the same
LOL HANNAH montanna music in backround
Weird. The Zelda Best Collection piano book I have has this exact song in another key.
Might be song of storms, why don't you search youtube for a zelda medley see if you find a fit and then look at the order they were played.
..
does anyone have the sheet music for this?
ITS SO AWESOMEE O.o
nice xD
im confused what you meant by "ignore this" XD.
Damn, that was 10 years ago.
Damn this was 6 years ago

Neh, la saké de puro oído
