Dandeli, often referred to as the adventure centre of South India, is a byword for tranquillity and excitement. It is a beautiful town in the Karnataka state and is situated among the rocky trails of the Western Ghats. The location of this spot is 1551 feet above sea level. Dandeli is primarily entirely of greenery and hiking routes. Dandeli, a key component of the Western Ghats, is home to enormous mountains, wilderness areas, and fascinating animals. Every type of traveller should visit this location since it is so incredible. Dandeli is the total bundle of enjoyment, tranquilly, and adventures. In Dandeli, there are many of things to do. You should explore the city's Syntheri Rocks if your interests go toward challenging hikes. Alternately, experience the exhilaration of whitewater rafting, boat rides, and kayaking at Kali River. Enjoy the soothing Natural Jacuzzi as you wind down your day while camping in the great outdoors. At the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, you can also go on a wildlife safari to see exotic animals. Dandeli has changed from being just a town with a paper mill to a popular tourism destination. It is also a paradise for other activities like from white river rafting, Kayaking, Zipline, Zorbing, Natural Jacuzzi, Archery & Target shooting, Burma Bridge, Coracle Ride, River Crossing, Lake Swimming, Crocodiles spotting in nature, Viewpoints, waterfalls, Dam etc. As we were here on recee tour so we visited quite a few resorts and homestays. In this video we are showing you a glimpse of what kind of accommodations are available in Dandeli. The resorts/homestays we visited are namely Laguna Watersports & Resort, Whistling Woodz Jungle Resort, Dandeli Green Valley Stay, Kingfisher Lake view Jungle resort, Silver Oak Pool View Dandeli, Dandeli Safari Camp, etc. These hotels offer you a package with stay, food and inclusion of some of the indoor and outdoor activities which differ hotel to hotel. Enroute we saw the supa dam from the bridge. It’s a big dam build over Kali River in Ganeshgudi. It can be seen from the bridge however permission is required to get inside the premises. Once the hotel visits were done we took out some time to visit the famous Syntheri Rocks. A 300 foot tall monolithic granite monolith located deep within the thick Dandeli Wild Life Sanctuary, with the river Kaneri gushing ferociously by its side, the syntheri rock makes a splended sight. The effect of erosion is clearly seen on this rock, with hollows all over. Innumerable nooks and crannies are home to thousands of pigeons, along with the hives of rock bees hanging alongside. There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. Named after the English lady Ms Cinthera who discovered these caves, Syntheri Rocks are today known for its marvellous topography. Syntheri Rocks Timings: It is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 for the tourists. As we visited in the monsoon season so we couldn’t do the two of must do activities in Dandeli i.e., River rafting and Wildlife Sanctuary Safari. Dandeli is one of the best places for white water rafting in the South. The maximum distance of the river rafting is 10 kms, which is quite long. Not just that, the entire surrounding is very attractive and this makes the overall experience more exciting and memorable. On a wildlife safari, take in all the sights and sounds of Dandeli's verdant forests. Experience the thrill of a lifetime as you journey by jeep with knowledgeable experts who will take you into the natural habitat of wild animals, strange birds, and unusual reptiles.
