      xa/3 is the distance for centroid of the triangle.

      Basically concepts are same everywhere and there are a lot similarity between BS code and IS code. Overall you can watch these lectures for basic concepts but it will be very confusing for you to use these concepts in university.

      In the under-reinforced section, steel stresses reach to permissible stresses before concrete compressive stresses.

      We cannot define and determine a couple moment without the lever arm. Sometimes we called it moment arm. It is very basic concept from engineering mechanics (statics).
