Happy to be watching these again, had no time for a while and now going to do some binge watching :) This was really interesting, some funny words there you mentioned. But my favorite has to be happify! :) So sad it is not used anymore. I love the endings always on your videos! Even if they have not been in favor of you lately my friend :)
I am surprised that the waiter could see the ghost at *ihop* !! *HAPPIFY* - interesting word! Excellent production as usual Santee!! You suceeded in making me smile Thank you! Love the blue wagon in the background at the end of the vid!
You are welcome. Yeah, apparently there are a few people who can see Bill...just not me. :-( Those wagons are just gorgeous. I am so fortunate to have that place to film.

Never drink water from a stream that's being filtered through a dead cow! That's a saying of mine because it happened to me on a hunting trip. We ran out of water and came upon a nice stream. Looked it over a bit and it seemed good. I filled my canteen and after a big swig we commenced hunting again. We hiked up stream and topped a small hill. That's when we saw a decomposing cow with the stream flowing right through it. Not the best filtration system I've seen. It was a cold cup of coffee for sure.
A pair of six shooters beats a pair of aces... opps... I guess I’m a little late.... 🤠 Thanks for another great episode Santee. By the way Legends of America is great resource for all sorts of old west stuff, thanks for sharing that link!

I kind of wonder if bacon was called "overland trout" back in those days due to how it was cut (which I assume was not the thin strips we get at the store today).
Santee! Mouthpiece is still slang for lawyer (at least in the UK)! Oh, and a wrinkle still means a trick, as in: 'Is there a wrinkle we can work in that'. I have heard picture used to mean face. Cold coffee has no meaning over here, but we do say of an unpleasant event that it: 'went down like a cup of cold sick.' Thanks a lot.
Something I’ve wondered for a while, is that “I’m your Huckleberry,” line from Tombstone 1999 real? I’ve seen it listed in 19th century slang compilations but when I look for references all I get is the movie.
@@ArizonaGhostriders One source that I saw claimed that a huckle is the handle on a casket, and what he was saying was "I'll be your huckle bearer". A much more serious threat.
Howdy Partner! Great video, real useful! But before ah absquatulate, ah need to ask what movie that is with the feller talking about one’s innards gettin squeamy?
Are there videos of how people spoke in the Wild West and I don't mean quotes or other writings? I want to know if it's possible to hear what conversations sounded like back then and do movies get it right.
Good morning Santee, what about your 1,500 subscriber giveaway or something like that. I don't think that every 500 subs you have to give some stuff away... by the way love your videos and I'll see ya on down the trail...
