@@ambroz9518 actually 5 out of 10 to be correct. And this is TOTALLY not what I expected. I mean Hungary and Portugal were like 85% sure to qualify and I feel sad for them not to qualify. Eliot's performance was bad live (actually I think 2nd eherslas were his best). I also put Poland on my list because that is my country and I was rooting to see it again in the final and the song/staging/overall was't bad but I guess that people might not like that song.

I think as easy as this Semi could be, there's a big mix where all could get trhough.
My prediction:
-Cyprus: nothing to say, judges will put this prob 5th o 6th and people top 3 for sure so yea, sure qualifier
-Czech Rep: so well staged, so likeable, he is so engaged to the camera and it's also they also have a memorable and also I think it's stand out,100% through
-Australia: staging made this 100% sure, could win the televote though
-Iceland: has everything to get through, great, catchy in it's way and has the probability to win semi imo
-Greece: vocaly incredible, amazing song, Greece came back to what worked for them and they killed it, probably winning semi
●Also, I think Serbia is through 100% too
-Serbia: The staging is AMAZING, vocaly this is out of the world and let's remember, Montengro votes, Slovenia, Hungary...it's just so hard that this doesn't qualify
●The last 4 I predict to get through
-Slovenia: could non-qualify but I just can't see this not qualifying, people will fall in love and juries will surely rate this high
-Georgia: This remebers me of 2016, questionable song but amazing staging, and he is soooo good vocaly
-Hungary: as you guys said, staging makes it beautiful, he is such a good performer, and also, some Balkan countries voting
-Portugal: I was between San Marino and Portugal, and I just can't see this staying on the semi, juries will find this appealing and it being after Estonia, this won't get through being a top 5, 7th at best, but it's good enough
●This are my could qualify but I think they won't
-Belarus: I'm scared Hungary and Serbia will overshadow this, idk why but I have that feeling, she could get through, yes, but I don't think it'll make the cut, 11th imo
-Belgium: it's my winner and it stayed there but I don't think this will make it through, people migth find it bland after Georgia and before Australia (I belive), this will get overshadowed
-Poland: I wish this would get through, vocals are great, staging is good...but still, I can't see this not getting underrated by non-eastern people
-Estonia: Avici vibes, great vocals, good staging, but between Iceland and Portugal, this will get buried in the televoters brain

I think Kate with Zero Gravity will snatch a surprise win in the first semi-final due to the incredible staging and first class vocals.
She lacks the song tho, it doesn't appeal to many. If it wins the semi it will be only due to the staging which is unfair

Okay I think I would say this was crazy a few weeks ago but I think :

Last 3 could easily swap with Poland, Estonia and Hungary.
I did really like Belgium but with the staging I feel they have little hope.
Georgia is one I would say has little chance but staging is epic, so idk.
There is more of a chance of me passing my exams than Montenegro qualify tommoz.

However, this semi-final's results are hard to predict. I can see Poland, Belgium, Estonia and Portugal in the Grand Final too.
Maybe next year for Montenegro, sadly because the revamp was quite cool.
Belarus' stage is a total mess in my opinion.
I loved "Look Away" in UMK but here, the staging isn't memorable and will be forgotten because of Poland's strong visual staging.
I feel like my top 10 is changing with every rehearsal... At this point I really don't know anymore, and I'm not even 100% certain anymore of the ones I've always been certain of :D

Again. Generally block voting does not play as large as a role in the semis. Juries don’t usually vote based on vocals solely either. If so Iceland would not have got last, last year with the juries

You know what.. Georgia has been a real grower for me. I was kind of perplexed by it at the beginning, but I liked the revamp of the song much better. I felt the traditional backing vocals fit much better in the revamp than the original selection performance, where I thought it was a bit disjointed. And with the staging, I don't know... I wouldn't be mad if it went to the final.

The first semi-final was a real surprise and shock in some cases (Estonia & San Marino), totally unexpected. And the heartbreaking exclusion of Portugal. Next year, probably, they'll qualify. I thought it was kind of unfair.
Polish diaspora lives mainly in UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and will not be able to vote. Also Tulia is not really popular group, they appeared on a song contest a year ago, seem to be favourites of public tv, but don't have any song that you would hear in the radio. I doubt if the diaspora is even familiar with them. So if they should count on diaspora, I don't see them going through. I rather hope that the viewers from other Slavic countries, our cousins from Hungary and fans of originality from Portugal will appreciate their performance and vote.
Belgium has big Polish, Albanian and Romanian populations so they will vote for their countries

Why does the jury (a very few people) have 50% of the votes against 50% of millions of paying viewers? It should be Jury 25% and televoters 75% If there was any justice.
onotad maybe because they studied and produced music for years to be able to judge what is good and what is trash. They are not always right, but it makes the contest more balanced
If there wasn't a jury the results would be the most horrible. Look at the people's taste, the people always prefer the cheapest, what comes the most easily to the hand. The best is never appreciated by the majority.

@@danielb1500 Yeah. I would have expected like 9th or 10th in the Semi for the vocals and all that, but I was really surprised it wouldn't have qualified. Australia also had bad vocals and finished high, which confused me more
