If the hard drive you're cloning is a boot drive (Windows installed on it) why not clone it to a solid state drive? That laptop hard drive is going to be abysmally slow and probably won't last very long. SSD's are very inexpensive now.
thanks ive built a better system video out soon gone with a white case ,ryzen 5 5600g 16gig ram ddr4 stay tuned for some unmounted hdd wiring mess and a lot of mistakes but still learning

i would be still running windows 3.11 on my mfm harddrive but software requires computer upgrades and computers need more when software requires more
