    I will be honest and say this last video I made of the 2021 NC750x was meant to be less rushed.
    I was in 2 minds about releasing this but it feels right I should because the comparison with the 2017 model & the 2021 model parked next to each other may be interesting for some people to watch.
    Thank you for your support watching the exeter-rider channel

    Loving my new 2021 6 speed! Don’t overlook the manual version with the Slipper Clutch. Waiting for a Givi Sport Touring windscreen so I can ride on the highway with my half helmet and not have the wind directed into my face. Put on the center stand, which should be standard on all chain driven street bikes. This year in the USA the 6 speed also includes Anti Lock brakes in addition to all the upgrades you covered in your previous video. All these changes only increased the price by $100 dollars to $8,199 initial price(now $8,499). When Harley invites you to Milwaukee I will promise you a Bratwurst and a Friday Fish Fry. All the best.

    I am on my 3rd NC - now riding a 2021 dct - my first was dct, 2nd manual and now back to dct.
    This is the best of the 3
    - dct much improved - although I mainly ride in manual mode as I like to be in control of the gears. The dct is the best quickshifter money can buy (using the paddles) super smooth and fast - even better after I carried out a dct reset after approx 4000 KMS
    - lower seat height makes no difference unless you have long legs - I have 32 inch inside leg and the bike is fine
    - power. This is for me the most noticeable difference. The engine feels far more free revving whereas the previous bikes 1st and 2nd gear were useless - this one you can hold in the gears much longer
    - handling even better in the twistjes than the previous model
    - blip on downshifts - sounds great even with standard exhaust
    - Frunk even bigger than before - this is brilliant and don’t know why more bikes don’t have this
    - Honda panniers bigger than previous model - can carry more stuff.
    - 12000 km service intervals
    Don’t like:
    Sport mode - throttle is far too twitchy and makes slow manoevers tricky plus holds the gears especially 2nd far too long
    Screen - why didn’t Honda make an adjustable screen with a simple lever like so many others
    Frunk - you need a key - a button would have been better
    However for the money this is simply a great bike for getting to work, touring or having a blast around the countryside. There are not many bikes for this price that you can do all that

    I'm considering the nc750x but was thinking I might like a cruiser more than an adventure bike. How is the X for a 1.5 hr highway drive at 75mph as opposed to some other Honda cruiser, perhaps the Shadow? I do like all the X upgrades but prefer a cruisers lower seat, I'm only 5'8". Reccos?

    After riding a manual 2021 model, and also trying a 2021 DCT Africa Twin (to try the DCT), I decided to buy a second-hand 2018 manual NC, about a year ago.
    I didn't like the throttle by wire, because of the riding modes (mostly the fact that the bike always goes to standard after being shut off), and preferred a taller bike. In fact, I even modified the seat on my bike to make it taller and reduce its slope. I'm running Michelin Pilot Road 5 on mine.
    I would like to have the led indicators and the new LCD, though. They look really good.

    • @exeterrider
      @exeterrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the seat height issue suits a lot of people but also causes issues for others. The LEDs and LCD dashes look great for sure : )

    • @davidmpoliveira1
      @davidmpoliveira1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@exeterrider Yeah, I respect that, because I know that a lot of people used to modify the NC to make it lower. I sort of did the opposite. I didn't modify the bike mechanically, but raised its seat to around 850mm, and filled it mostly on the front. I wanted to feel more upright; and to be able to seat further back, without having to fight the front slope while riding - the new NC sort of does that by default.
      Great motorcycles. Probably not the best choice for someone looking for fun on twisty roads at weekends, but excellent for commuting and good for solo trips.

      Dont think they will put CC on, thats mainly with bikes over £10k where they make more profit and can therefore add more goodies. I dont want to pay for CC when I wont use it. I had the 2016 manual ....loved the bike but....it was a little under powered when two up with luggage in France heading uphill into a headwind it couldn't keep up with the 81mph traffic. Most of the time it was fine but just a little more power would have felt safer. 1500 miles on return it had an overall mpg of 83.... Brilliant but I'd sooner have a little less just to keep up with the traffic.
