Discipline is hard, working on yourself is hard, focusing is hard, doing what you don't possess the effort to do is so hard.. but with all these tough principles you'd achieve a life worth mentioning to your kids, grandkids, and most importantly : yourself, so stay in the hard zone, the only true pain is regretting what you didn't do.

he actually was not that privileged, if you read his history. He came from a small rural town, and only could get into carting because a local burger shop owner had heard of his talent from a local public track day. (and sponsored his first Karting endevor.) they still have a burger named after him. At the time Valtteri was an insecure and fat kid so at first was racing with a literal weight disadvantage. Later in life he ended up doing mandatory military service. and reached the equivalent of (special forces) in Finland.) it was after this that the venture into formular 3 and then Williams F1 career took over. But he did not come from money, or family pedigree. Just a humble, Nordic warrior.

After years of coercive and controlling behaviour from my wife and the pressures of my job began to crush me, she then decided to divorce me. She made false allegations of abusive behaviour to the police, I got arrested and suspended from my job as a result of that allegation and arrest. Wasn't allowed to see my children, amd now haven't seen them for 4 years as she has lied to them and alienated them. I lost my job, my house (after paying a mortgage for 30 years) and my two girls. How do you start again when you are 53 and everything you worked from is taken from you? What I experienced as a father would never happen to a mother. You think that doing the right thing and being a good person all your life is enough, but it isn't. It counts for nothing when someone you trustwd decides to take you down. After that all you can hope for is to survive.
