Working in a 2024 Jarraff. I'm new to the machine and new to recording. This is actually my first video with it. appreciate you for watching, check out my channel. Have a good day!
I’m an operating engineer, mostly cranes, and the power company dropped a brand new Jaraff off and I never seen one before. I had to go check it out and I was in awe of the uniqueness of that machine. I just sat in it because I f$&k a lot of things up in life and I didn’t want to screw up someone’s brand new machine.
Awesome machine. As a casual observer would a fold down lens help in seeing what the saw is doing? I’m thinking something attached to your overhead glass? Just a thought. Thanks for showing us this interesting work!
Touch screen blegh whatever happened to just having a regular throttle. Don't get me wrong it's a nice machine and all done alot of tree work with asplundh and lewis worked with transmission and line clearing on both distribution and transmission. Transmission work is my favorite kind of clearance. Never operated a jaraff but I've been around them alot I've ran a skid steer mower with a fecon mulcher head. They screwed up when they moved away from Barkos and clear ways. Also always cut with your front blade down and always watch your degrees on hills and terrain but I'm sure you'll do fine never get in a rush that's when mistakes happen
The touch screen was weird at first 😄 but I don't mind it now. I love transmission work as well. And the terrain will be a learning curve for me haha but I will take her slow. Appreciate ya. Take care Thomas
It was running a good while before I started moving it. When you start it, it beeps for around 5 or 10 minutes. But as you heard, it decided to after I turned the rpm up. And once I turned on the saw head, it stopped. It might have just been a little cold still, but nothing significant.
I love them things so much both companies i worked for had them one was a Kershaw one was a jarraf the jarraf still runs the Kershaw sits in the back of the yard
@@LucidityCK So we have 2 in northern New Hampshire one has wheels.I don't know, you're using and one has tracks but I just looking at it when driving down the road.I just it looked like that.Blade with stationary, so thanks for the answer.Man appreciate that

For real, that's awesome you got to check it out. Really is a killer machine. I can relate on the fing stuff up. 😄 thanks @jamesmoren8335
Looks like a fighter jet cockpit with that in between the legs joystick haha
HAHa, so true.
That’s awesome. Enjoy it!
Thanks, will do!

I'm serious considering mounting a gopro on the boom for a better perspective. Will try in the future.
This is the first generation mech assault vehicle. Change my mind
Well, the only thing that sucks is it goes 12 mph. Max 16 down hill. Haha

WOULD LOVE TO GO OUT IN THE SNOW WITH THAT
HA I never thought of that but now that you mention it. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
I don't understand why all power lines aren't run underground.
It's very expensive to bury them. High voltage lines are hard to insulated when underground.
Yeah it really would be difficult and expensive. We're just not there yet. They should have kept tesla around, we would all have wireless power haha.
We need more pyramids.
Are you working near Sutherlin Oregon by chance?
The work is being done in northern Virginia.
Cool well done!
Much appreciated
Also that beeping, would it go away if you let it properly warm up? Or is that just the hydraulic alarm for cold oil?

I Ben building Jarraff machines for 22 years
I appreciate it. They are an amazing tool!
What is the decibel reading in the cab?
It says something about a seat belt. But there is no seat belt in that machine.
That beeping would get smashed
That beeping goes away when it warms up. Most newer machines have it because operating with cold hydrualics is hard on the machine.
It Just be's like that

Yeah, it is a lot of fun. It's not something I ever thought I would use.
@@LucidityCK ever see a mini jarraf? They got like a 55 ft boom and the company I worked for that had the Kershaw had one and it was a bad little dude
@@crftrapper280 Yeah i had seen one before. Really funny looking actually. Good for what they can do though.
Does the blad twist or n9
Yeah, the blade twists when you push the buttons on the left analog stick. It comes in handy.

@@mikiscarpeter2350 it has wheels. Big fat wheels 😄 not a problem at all. Kinda wish we had one with tracks... maybe someday. Have a good one buddy!
@@LucidityCK ya asplhund has a tracked an whrrl3d tracksblooks badass but not really neede d

For real
Not looking forward to that. Having to put my hand on the door just to not fall out the seat. Not to fun that but.
Definitely not going to bring down cables with that
Alrighty then.
Too rough. Machine won’t last.
Lol.. for real or just playin?
