- I drove the brand new Audi RS4 as my daily for a week thanks to Audi UK, and what a week it was. So I asked you what you wanted to know and this is our collaboration review taking a detailed look both inside and out. I try Parking Assist and also this cars EPIC Launch Control !
The 450PS sports wagon is impressive in all areas and could be the perfect one car garage.

Been running one now in 2022. Best car I’ve had, and I’ve had the works! Day to day nothing better. And as a family man with a dog and a mountain bike it really is epic.
Thank you Mr Ped for an excellent review. Being an Audi enthusiast and driver I was really looking forward to this video and you did not disappoint. Love these extended reviews, I hope other manufacturers see this and lend you their cars!!

Fantastic video, having experienced the car from the passenger seat I understand why you enjoyed it so much. That full beam light feature was such such a great use of a relatively simple bit of tech , yes please 😄

Bloody brilliant conclusion Pete....I'm sticking with my S4 Avant for a few more years and will move up to one of these once the second hand values are within my budget.

It's an amazing car for sure and I love Audi but i'm just not a fan of the Avant or estates in general, however I do see your point you made about this and the Panamera Sport Turismo eHybrid.

Only thing ive found with pan roofs are drivers don’t get the benefit, can’t be seen from the seat at all, it’s more for the rear passengers I’d rather spend it the money elsewhere

Brilliant Ped, it's launches beautifully! I really wish Audi brought back the RS4 saloon as well. But I have to say the tech such as the matrix headlights and digital dash are amazing.

That was such a well made video, I loved the conclusion and completely agree with you. I bought the B9 S4 at the start of the year and had to sell it for the exact reasons you spoke of, I never wanted to take it out for a sunday drive...

One thing I did pick up on. At 10:13secs - Speeding!! Tut! Tut!
However, it was nice to see the matrix LED lighting working in the fog. I've seen them working in the manufacturers videos, but to see them working in REAL life was nice.
One thing I should have asked about the RS4 was this. What's the 0 to 60 like if you do NOT use the launch control. i.e. If you were just sat at a set of lights and wanted to get away quickly.

I recognise those roads! The hill climb is one of my favourite bits of road. I would also recommend doing the whole of the A272 from Petersfield to Petworth, some great twists down there.
Anyway, nice video. Probably my favourite of all the RS4 reviews i've watched. Really enjoyed the drone shots too.

I’m watching this 3 years later after trolling autotrader for an upgrade to my ‘13 S4 Avant. It’s soooo tempting I’ve looked at F Pace V6 petrol and Macan GTS but I keep going back to a grey 2018 one that just says buy me ! 🏎💨 awesome content as ever👍

Greetings from Boston, in the US. Great video/review. I really like your format with objective information and informed person impressions. I currently drive a B8.5 S4 (in saloon, as you'd say, but in similar spec to yours which I LOVE). As a replacement/upgrade I am planning the new RS5 Sportback. Sadly, I don't think we'll get the RS4 Avant in the US, but I imaging the RS5 driving dynamics will be essentially identical. Living in a region that has frequent rain and snow, these uber Audis are the ideal every-day supercars. And they can be spec'ed in discreet configurations and "debadged" in order to "fly under the radar" and avoid unwanted attention. Keep up the great work! I subscribed.

Great review, has to be the most informative I’ve seen ( I think I’ve watched them all). It’s interesting the price of your test car, the carbon edition I have ordered (with extras) comes to slightly more but is a better spec. Will always have a better resale value. My only downside to your video is that May seems a long way off!!

Nice review, Pete! One thing I would say is that you were doing your 0-60 time without launch control so your time was definitely slower than it could have been.
You can tell because in launch mode the revs go up to about 3200 rpm and you build more boost before you take off, so it leaves the line much faster, with a little bit of wheelspin from all 4 wheels. You could definitely knock a few tenths off that time.
The software in the car will only do launch mode if you are in Dynamic mode (not individual) and also only if you have the traction control in sport mode (not if you turn it completely off).
You also need to give it 3 or 4 seconds of full throttle to build boost before you take your foot off the brake (this feels a bit harsh when you do it but the manual says give it 2 to 5 seconds). You can see after 2 seconds of full throttle the revs jump up from 2800rpm to 3200rpm and you can see the boost building if you have the boost gauge turned on in the display. It gets to about 3/4 of full boost before you even start off!
What a brilliant and detailed review! Petrol Ped going to new levels! A fantastic car with so many brilliant details! I’ve never seen red trimmed seatbelts before!
I used to have all Red and found them tacky plus they showed the dirt a lot more.
Need Manufacturers to give you more long term loans! I want a 30 minute weekly show to take over the gap left by 5th gear etc 👍🏻

Just Bought a 2019 one and love it already.. I’m lucky enough to have an R8 also and although it’s not the driving experience of an R8 (the noise mainly) it’s a good 80% and as the commentator said, it is a car you would take out just to drive it... My only negative is that the 2019 has the GPF and that Reduces the noise which I think lessers the experience (maybe time for sports cats and a remap!)

Perfect and nice review, people is talking bullshits about V6 and exhaust sound. But the truth is RS4=V6TT since the origin, and about the exhaust you can change after buying (for the time being Manhart or Remus pe). And Manhart sounds like hell, loud and pops everyday.
This car is the best RS4 ever, said by Audi and many others testers and experts. Are you agree?

What a fantastic looking car! I’m really liking the new shape and the fact that it has such a large amount of power in what doesn’t look overly showy, puts it on my favourites. I like the colour too.
I’m not a fan of the MMI that goes above the dash; as I much prefer integration, like inside the Golf, but I’m sure I could get used to it.
I’ve just been recommended this channel and you now have a new sub. The only negative that I do have, is regarding the sound - it sounds a bit low and echoey, but apart from that, the overall production and editing is great.

Great video; very interesting as usual. I really like the effort you've put in and the video is clearly created by a petrol head (Ped) for fellow petrol heads! Excellent! My (belated) question is; new RS4 or used RS6 Performance?
RS4 for me. I've driven both and the RS4 is just that little bit smaller and easier to live with. However the RS6 does sound better and boy is it quick !
