theres an error for me,i insert the pack and the when it loads it gives me an error related to loading music i think and doesnt launch edit:sorry nvm didnt read the required version
I don't know if you're interested in reviews six months after release, but these're my thoughts after a month of playing: Dark Matter: really nice sync, good job on that. some moments feel a bit messy, but it's ok since it's really hard to make any sync effects in OH. #2 my fav from the pack Menace: I like the balance and overall madness of this level, fun stuff. #3 my fav from the pack Rocket Science: fine level. a bit random because of the different styles, but it's a minor thing Square Practice: haven't played it much, feels like a slow level with excessive rotation Haunted: fine level. a bit weird balance for me, feels slow, but sometimes with some patterns too fast Bass Slut (x1.002) & Berserk (x1.001): almost passed on the first try, but I'm too lazy to finish. maybe I will play it later, don't know what to say Single Pulse Remix Remix: tbh I don't remember the original Remix version, but this is good for me too. I can get the second increment w/o problems, but because of my speed skills inverses are killing me, so it seems familiar Technology: fine level. idk why, but it's mindblocked for me, I always want to dodge patterns through two sides Mantra: mixed feelings. initially it was a fun level, but the more times I play it, the more painful it gets Troglodyte: unexpected, but it's #1 my fav from the pack. The 1.92 version was too hard, but the steam version is playable for me Narcotics: fine level. priority for rotation, but with that speed/delay plays normal X1.000 versions look useless, since no one plays them judging by the scores In general a good pack for the competition, I have a specific requirements for the levels, but I like it I haven't actually said anything useful, so I'll just say that it would be interesting to see another speed/rotation/delay ratios and new non-standard levels (like Menace, Mantra or Troglodyte). And I still think it's better to do less difficulties on the same level, at least two is already enough (ok, this applies less to the walkthrough levels, but still) Sorry for my English, I'm too lazy to re-check and edit this
Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you on almost all levels -- this pack is far from perfect. I only wanted to upload a pack with "decent" levels since there was a surprising lack of high-speed content on the workshop. And I don't blame you for disliking some levels more than others, since I added a lot of variation in the levels on purpose. When it comes to your thoughts about 1.000 difficulties, I have a different opinion. The OH playerbase has many different skill levels, and it turns out most players can't actually handle Dark Matter x1.001, or even 1.000. I don't want to prevent them from enjoying the pack just because they have less skill, so instead I add multiple difficulties, even though I hope that the best players will only play the higher difficulties. This comes in handy for completable levels, since after someone finishes 1.000, they can start grinding 1.001, and so on. I actually plan on adding even more difficulties for my next major pack, but we'll see if that actually happens.
Well, I exaggerated about x1.000 being useless. I just see only old records on levels made in a couple of tries, which is not good for competition, but I don't know how popular normal difficulty is with beginner players, so I won't argue. The situation is a little different for completable levels. I like that you made for them significantly different difficulties, because if it were a 10-15% difference, it would be annoying. I don't mind this variety for completable levels, I disagree more about the difficulties for endless levels.
This is chaos
In your levels always feel
s the masterpiece of music synchronization
Probably my favorite pack even though I'm too shit to complete it!
