Use this knot a lot, never seen the finger looping though. Will have to try it as it looks useful. One thing I do when doing a trilene knot is run the tag end through the other loop, just like you would do with an improved clinch knot for some improved strength.
I also do that with the tag and was shown this knot by a commercial fisherman 25 years ago. He called it by a different name that I can't remember. I use it for braid and mono.
I've used this knot for 34 years and you just made teaching my son to tie it so much easier. Thank you!
