I’d love to see a vid on the song “Mania” by Entropia, which has a lot of ambiguous tonality and nifty rhythmic tricks. The album flew completely under the radar but was very comfortably my favorite album of 2023, and I’m sure you’d be enamored with it too
Now, I just brought an album from Putridity, specifically the deluxe version of their debut album on Red and Bone Vinyl. I always loved the band’s distinct style of Brutal Death Metal song writing, it hits every single note that I have and is so different from the other bands that I struggle to find any alternatives. They’re able to nail down every single aspect that Brutal Death Metal stands for, speed, heaviness, complex rhythms, amelody, absent timbre, etc. but how, what does each of these things mean and why do they contribute to the sound of Brutal Death, and more specifically Putridity. The most that I can decipher is that Putridity goes at fast speeds with tempo changes being absent, track-by-track, almost as if the whole album is one massive onslaught of blast beats, gutturals and slams(mostly because I is) but how is it more effective than everything else I’ve listened to? I’d love to see a video covering it. I know they aren’t really prog or full-blown technical, but I think their distinct style is innovative enough to explore.
Any Calculating Infinity riffs you want to cover? Listening to Destro's Secret at the moment and just had the idea to ask, since I liked your Catch 33 analyses.
posture: stanced
ears: perked
low string : chugged
tempo: modulated
THE KING IS BACK
'Why u stand like an NPC?' got me good 😂😂😂😂
This was always fun to play live. Cool vid man! Keep it up and good luck on the rest of your studies
The new track is dank.
@@drphdmd7064 Thanks dude! More to come on the Season of Mist TH-cam Channel!
I love Replacire. Glad to see them getting attention.
I was just listening to this album. Glad to see you make a video on it
it's quite fascinating how many band shirts this lad has in possession
Oooh. New stuff to check out. You should do some more car bomb stuff too
Example 1.26 is a sick preview of the perhaps the hottest PHD thesis to drop this decade. TAKE MY ENERGY ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
You should do something from Ulcerate’s everything is fire. Some of the metric modulation stuff is confusing.
Totally agree. Also Baring Teeth
Nice!!!

Never drop the npc stance.
Still stands like an NPC 😂
Awesome stuff. Could you do a vid on A Voyage With Twin Meteors by Scar Symmetry? Messes with signatures and tempos in simple but disorienting ways.
Also are you aware of admiral angry?
Could you do an episode about severed savior?
That would be sick, I've brought up Odious Mortem in the past too.
I haven’t heard this name in years.
Can we read phd soon?
that wormed riff always made me think of the ending scene of Dino Crisis 2.

Haha this song reminds me of Conspire by the Contortionist
