Tbf i do kinda understand BSG's logic on that (not defending them its still shitty what they have done) but PVE does not add anything 'new', all the content in PVE is already content in the game, its just a different way to access/play it, whereas arena does add in new content technically as its a whole different levelling system, game mode etc.
They also lied that the PVE Mode is Offline. It was never Offline and never will be.
Good luck anyways. Takes forever to load in and when your in all the scavs etc have god mode on. The aim bot is so turned up you can barely even move. I have 6k hours and died within 1 min of every raid I tried on Ground Zero. I have died 10 times in a row. Not even just aim bot. They sprint at you while shooting and they don't miss

@SpaceRanger187 Not my experience at all. I've been getting into all my raids in under 2min lol I actually think the AI PMCs are pretty solid too aside from them standing in one spot sometimes. They do alot of body shots and even have a voiceline window occasionally. Had a few fights that genuinely felt like the real thing. The scavs on the other hand are just as dumb as the base game scavs

If the PvE mode isn't DLC, it means it's part of the game ahead of release, which, imo, is worse to paywall for EOD. We were promised the full game and DLC, if you are adding new paid features that aren't DLC, that's even worse that you are keeping them behind a paywall.

This is literally the only take that makes sense, if it's not a DLC then why the fuck charge anyone for it let alone those of us that bought EOD for the sole reason we thought we'd the full game and all DLC's, that's the only thing that even made EOD worth purchasing because lets be honest, the only other things it came with that anyone cares about is the gamma and increased stash which is NOT worth that kind of price tag
DLC shouldn't be defined by whether being released before or after the 1.0 base game. Also, people are angry that BSG is making their "non-DLC" contents and "maybe DLC" Tarkov Areana that litereally have nothing to do with the 1.0 base game release, yet at the same time, they keep using the 1.0 base game release as lot of excuses for so many things and pretending they're working so hard toward this goal. It still doesn't make sense bc then why did we get Arena??? Plus they deleted the "all future dlc" bullet from the EOD version's product page. It sounds like they attempted to quietly remove it all. Now they are trying to restore it but are attempting to still justify purchasing the unheard edition for PVE access.

It's crazy how insistent BSG is on adding the distress beacon (PMC respawns) to Tarkov. If an announced feature needs immediate "restrictive or balancing changes" then maybe reconsider implementing it.

They do something and never look back, which leads to stacking problems because their first instinct for tools to fix an issue is never use a scalpel but always a hammer
So you get spawnkills because they decided to run x2 the players in all maps, same reason caused ratting to be so much more popular now that there are double the people in a raid and double the amount needing to extract so double the chances they're rewarded for ratting, no ground loot marked rooms with thick cases nor good loot on most maps because vacuum cheaters theoretically exist so no one can have any, etc etc etc

Its a big ask strat. They probably intended to do this from the start. Come in high, then seemingly make a compromise. Thus placate the fans and make them think they actually achieved something. Thus making the price gouging more palatable.

In other news, have been playing the MPT mod for SP Tarkov with buddies since yesterday, and we're having a blast with 40-50 mods, load times under 1 minute for all map (except Streets, which take ~90sec) and we can manage every single details of the game. XP rates, loot rates, AI difficulties, boss spawn rates.. we've added crashed helicopters Events, 6 or 7 extra traders with 30+ new quests, about 140 new clothing sets available at Ragman, about 20ish new guns (including different part skins, colors, etc).
Yeah, we're not paying $50 + taxes and fees (close to 100$) for what is basically a fraction of what we have been playing for free in the past 12 hours.

@@MoonLiteNite Actually they removed key things from the EoD description when Landmark was showing it on stream so if we wait a bit someone in the community could get a lawyer to go after them for false advertisement. If the community actually doesn't get what was promised for EoD we do have grounds for hitting them with a class action lawsuit. Their definition of DLC present doesn't matter what matters is what was said in fine print when we purchased the product.

The mention of all future DLC being free for EOD means all the content that they produce for Tarkov that non-EOD buyers will not have access to will be free for EOD users. We paid for 3 copies of the game essentially, $150 for a $50 game.
It’s the most expensive game I’ve ever payed for, but bought it under the assumption that this would be it and would have a game that I would be able to continue having with no further purchases because we were promised all future DLC’s and that this would be it, no further P2W mechanics beyond this edition of the game. No subscription model, no micro transactions, no further purchases for this game if you payed 3 TIMES THE GAMES PRICE to have access to all of its current and future content.
Now the people that bought the equivalent of 3 copies of the game are not getting anything they were promised. We bought the limited time game edition to support its development and to have access to ALL of its future content.
If all you were going to get was just some p2w garbage in the beginning but could play the game and grind it out, then I wouldn’t have bought the EOD edition. I got it solely because it said that EOD users will have access to all future content. And now they’re back peddling on what that means. Ridiculous.

The statement out not having money for servers, is lazy excuse. Why don't you just have local hosting! You are essentially killing to birds with one stone. Let me explain, One you don't need to pay for servers since local host is when a user hosts a game on there PC, allowing others to connect to their PC. Secoundly it allows all EOD owners to play coop pve mode. I just helped BSG save money and make everyone happy.
Let's not pretend their "we don't have the servers to support EOD" excuse isn't a lazy lie either. Only a few hours ago they promised us we'd all get free access for 6 months on EOD.

Along similar lines, they said they'd give EOD owners 6 months of free access to PVE, but then now they're offering a discount to get access to PVE with it only being free access after 1.0 release. So which is it? Do we get it for 6 months for free now still? Does this mean that we then either have to pay to keep playing it after the 6 months are up or wait until 1.0 to play it for free? It just doesn't make any sense lmao, and it still doesn't change the fact we should have it for free, permanently, now.
On top of that, as you get at here, this totally undercuts any argument about servers being a concern. So they can't give it to everyone now because they don't have the server infrastructure, but they suddenly have the server infrastructure if we all pay for it? Such a joke.

There was a page on the website stating what a DLC was in their minds, it stated DLC is after the full release. Saw it 2 days ago on a video and can't find the video now.

It's basically becoming just a supporter edition. EoD is getting almost all of it now but the containers and a few odd things ...Well and immediate access to PvE but apparently that already running rough for the few people who bought in. It clearly needs more infrastructure and time to bake.
I much prefer this and would buy it myself but I'm still a little concerned about how non-EoD players get access to the hideout (and whether it will be bad for the game). I still really want a way for standard players to catch up to EoD benefits without spending $250 or the ability to buy just the bits and pieces they are interested in.

It matters to me and I'm an EOD player. What has happened is a big middle finger to me and my friend. She bought us both the game and it's insane to drop $500 just for both of us to play PVE together. It's extremely dishonest to advertise ALL future additional content as free, and then they remove that version and say "Oh sorry you must drop $250 to access content even though we gave an incentive to purchase EOD". You can't speak for all EOD owners when it comes to this situation - especially with the obvious huge negative connotation given the situation. Many of us are upset about it.
Do you think they will give both benefits if you were an EoD who upgraded or bought the unheard edition? Would you still get the EoD benefits?
My question is. If they don't have the capacity of servers. What happens if every eod upgraded. Then the pve crashes and no access for anyone.

what your describing at 3:00 is exactly how SPT works lol, you spin up a local "server", then launch the game and connect to it. You can even load the server on a second machine and connect to it on your own network to offload the extra load from your main rig, they could just expand that with a peer to peer system to have your friends connect to u and your golden.
As so many have said already, if they need more money for server space or operating costs then cosmetics is the way rather than basically leaving everyone feeling screwed over.

as an eod owner i never expected them to give me in raid benefits , purchased the eod version first and foremost for convenience and also to support them back in 2017 when it stall had been called a russian scam game

i think the easiest way to square this circle is to treat this PVE mode like an early feature test bed and give SPT an official blessing to exist as long as you're playing with a legal copy of tarkov that you own. Bring SPT out of the wilderness and give the people who want to play with mods the option for a more robust (locally hosted) experience, with the server hosted online PVE as a package item where BSG can work out some AI bugs on their most ardent customers.

It is DLC. Also we have no recourse if tomorrow they say we are releasing the game 1.0 and shutdown development and there is no post release "DLC". Then what we paid $150 for nothing.
tbh the server situation was pretty much my first thought when they released that unheard edition . I think the issue is that many of these modes and features are being coded and implemented as they come up instead of designing the code from the beginning with all of that in mind like we are used to from AAA devs. This makes it not only very hard and resource intensive to add stuff like offline coop with progression, it also kinda forces you to take a certain approach ( as in, we need servers to host full sessions for only a few people each instead of full lobbys because the code is designed to be running on a server...)
honestly i think they are doing the right things now with granting EOD upgrade discount, giving the PVE mode to EOD after release and having it be purchaseable separately ( this is propably the biggest win so a newcomer could buy the cheapest version of tarkov and buy the PVE upgrade instead of having to spend all the money to get the biggest edition when they might not even enjoy PVP)
The server thing feels like an excuse. If they didn't have enough server space they should have probably not released and waited until they did to give the EOD players access as well. I'm happy they are trying to rectify everything but all of the drama could have been avoided if they just followed through with the promises they made and didn't try to be sneaky.

They should've just released it as a single player only feature, and then added co-op either upon full release, or whenever they actually had the infrastructure to handle co-op. Or better yet, just send out invites to test the PvE mode over time, like every other normal beta test ever. Demanding that people pay $250 dollars to beta test shit in a game that itself is a beta is absolutely wild - and no matter how much I think about it I cannot find a valid justification beyond sheer greed and incompetence.
@@redskies2482 i agree it feels like an excuse. What i see as a big issue however is that they don't know how many people would even prefer this mode to the normal game. Imagine you set up servers for 50.000 people (just an example number) and they do play a lot in the first days maybe 30-40.000 people play actively but then they get bored and go back to the main game and only 5.000 people keep playing the mode you set so many servers up for. That would be a huge cost factor and propably take some time to roll back. What's done is done now and they massively fucked up for sure but at least there is some light on the horizon instead of "buy this super expensive version to play with your friends in a chill environement"

It’s a good game and you’re honestly missing out on a great experience. You don’t have to buy a super expensive edition to have fun. The edition is irrelevant, and so is this controversy if you never bought EOD. Don’t just blindly jump on a bandwagon because of group think. Play the game, you’ll enjoy it. Until you get blasted by a cheater lmao
Look at games like COD and Fortnite it’s a game mode inside the game it’s not a separate game. So it’s a DLC
Easy fix is to make the unheard edition accessible from in game progression and make the co op mode free for everyone through host servers leave the full price of unheard edition as a option to upgrade early instead of grinding out in game progression
i am more content now knowing Offline/Official single player will come to EOD editions in the future while they test it out with unheard to finetune it. Glad to see they are selling it seperately too but we will have to wait for price. While i mentioned before i wouldnt give them money The discount and BSG's Attempt to fix things is tempting. I kinda want the other buffs and support them a little more but i know inside that that would be a horrible idea. Good video Axel :-)

What happens with the „Friend-call - Function“ in an existing Raid? Did they cancel that BS?
My assumption is that they'll charge $50 for the base cost and so only EoD players would need to pay $15 for it. Everyone else gets hyper-upcharged prices to access it.
My issue atm is that what they are doing is basically a "we need to placate the EoD players but we'll still ignore the non-EoD players" approach. They clearly still didn't think it through because the way Nikita worded the post to specifically address just the EoD players shows how much he lost touch with reality. Unheard Edition's still $250 (minus the cost of the players' current edition) for non-EoD players. It's still full price for PvE access for non-EoD players.

Bought it shortly after release because a standard edition friend of mine upgraded and wanted to play PvE together. Now that it will be included in EOD at a later time (if nikita sticks to what he says this time, who knows) I’ll see if I can get a refund from Xsolla or just get a chargeback via PayPal or my bank
I get that the extra servers for a PVE mode and really even the regular EFT isn't in there budget without extra revenue. They should have just been open about that and had a discussion with the community instead of what they did.
Dropping DLC before the game hits 1.0 is insane. So is a $250 edition if you’re not EoD
The thing with giving EoD users access to the offline mode just without the coop component for now (as you suggested) is that this would basically be SPT just worse.
SPT is free (if you own any version of tarkov) and you can play it basically vanilla or just customize it to whatever way you want to play tarkov.
Dont get me wrong, it would still be better than what they are doing right now but it would essentially change nothing game wise for EoD owners ^^

The scam towards EoD user became truly real, i mean seriously first of all they say "everything in the the future for EoD users gonna be free and now this. My biggest concern is if we EoD users buy those DLCs which we should have given for free what comes next? Why are people acting like this is the end of the world? It’s a PvE mode, it’s basically like practice mode that’s already in the game but you get to keep your junk. We got arena with EOD and they said we’re getting all the other dlc’s too. A little game mode they originally said they were never going to make as a perk for their newest edition and everyone loses their minds. You paid 150$ 7 years ago and you were happy up until this point because the addition of one irrelevant mode most people probably won’t even give the time of day. All of a sudden the games a scam? I think the problem is, BSG have a different definition of DLC compared to the playerbase.

so if THEY say DLC is an addition made AFTER the release i fear of further delaying the full release. anyway EA-games had some similar things going and just tried to sugarcoat things by stating lootboxes are just a "suprise-mechanic" .... i get the same feeling from BSG/EFT
the entire situation is like a " you get all the dlc´s BUT we do not release any dlc´s. we offer new editions, opportunities and stuff like that BUT NO dlc´s you already paid for."

@@williamilles7681 pockets i don't care. Weapon case, ammo case, scav junk at the start of the wipe with meta guns with good ammo are all p2w stuff. Those things will remove the feeling of a hardcore realistic game and puts the owners at a huge advantageous position. Even having a weapons case takes too much time in game and with the other cases at the start you dont even ever have to think about stash management again.

It's ironic that if the initial post had been even this transparent and "giving" they likely could have avoided all of this. "Hey guys we have a new PVE mode, to honor our EOD purchasers you are going to get it for free on full release. It's really expensive to run and we expect it to take some time to flesh out the experience so if you want to be an early adopter you can do that by purchasing the new edition". Done deal.

They give you a lesser version roughly equivalent to the money spent. I don’t know the exact costs but if you bought the version for $100, and they lowered it to $50, instead of refunding you $50, they give you a key for an old version that costs $50 as well.
Not saying I agree with it, but that’s the logic.
They give you an extra game key to give to someone else. It's like a company ripping you off, being forced to pay you back, and they do it in store credit. They should refund you.
At least in Russia the "Shitheard" edition now costs 2750 RUB from EOD and left behind costs 2900, so it kind of makes sense

They are giving the "left behind" edition key so that people give that to their friends who then realize they need to upgrade and buy "expansions" so they spend money so win win for BSG

Wish they would have said that we need money out loud and then said that pvp was coming to everyone eventually but it’s out early for those who will pay, obviously delete the very pay to win stuff like the scav go away gadget and the calling teammates. If they would have advertised it as the company needed money to keep running (as they clearly seem to need) then most tarkov players would be more than happy to support them
Exactly. I would be happy to pay a subscription each month to help offset server costs. Just be honest and upfront with people.

Changes the game in 0 ways but gives people something to spend money on to support the development of the game. I hate that I purchased the stash space before because I was hoping to support the game
the issue with BSG saying you will get all DLC once the game is released is that once the game is released BSG will 100% wipe there hands of Tarkov within a year that's if we're lucky..
I own eod and I wasn’t upset about the extra package honestly .. what does bother me is the way they responded to the whole situation. I also got the new package thinking it was only more items to start with not any pay to win aspects but I’m lucky at this point in time where hundred bucks extra for a game I’ve enjoyed for 3 years is whatever. Does suck that I payed an extra 50 bucks tho lol that also feels bad but that’s what I get for getting new edition on impulse without doing any research

The PVE gamemode is either a DLC (so EOD must have them) OR it isn't, and if it's not, but it is part of the game, so EVERYONE must have this gamemode. It's like locking the flea market or the hideout behind a paywall.
For the offline solution on our PC, well, this already exists!

Heres the thing this would likely all be enough in my opinion IF and its a big IF they remove the P2W items from the edition entirely. And simply add them to the base game to be found in raid, crafted in the hideout, sold on flea etc. AND all cases and extra money is removed. I dont care about additional gear beacause at least you have to risk those items in raid to use them, swap these with more gear and a custom PMC model or something. I would say how silly it is to be giving an edition of the game much below the one the players bought as compensation for buying before the discount, as clearly they already own the game what are they going to do with another copy but honestly anyone who bought it straight up deserves to get shafted.
Heres another question, the additional changes announced for EOD users, do you still get them if you upgrade from EOD to TUE? How does that work..

You only get the junkbox +ammo+weaponbox + 2 place in your pocket. There is no gamechanger item or ability in the new version.
@@williamilles7681 You still get the friend summoning tool and the mark of the unheard, which are actually good items but dont belong locked behind a pay wall, given how strong they are the mark should be a reward late game and the friend ressuply should be available to anyone through the same method, i.e. finding it in raid.

The emergency call your friends flare and the scavs ignore me radio are also not going to be fair and balanced additions to the game, should they follow through as they seem to intend.

They planned this from the start. The 50% off is the real price they wanted and expected. The 250 was to make it seem like they giving out a discount.
If its not a DLC then its part of the base game and should be free. Otherwise what is it then acording to them? :D
If you re-define the PVE mode as "not dlc", cause DLC is after release, then it's part of the core game, and then you have to give it to everyone...

The problem was EOD limited Edition was 7 years to buy. 80% of the playerbase have today EOD. This is not limited Edition and earns not more money for BSG on long term.
This isn't a valid excuse though. There are plenty of other games that have been in development for insane amounts of time that haven't done this and are still going strong. It would be one thing if it was just a new edition to replace EOD, but to paywall actual content behind it is absurd. Even "scam" games like Star Citizen don't do this shit.
