I played an early build of Decimate Drive a few months ago, bit this latest build features all new levels, some story elements and a freaky killer ice cream van! Also, the ending is pretty intriguing!
this really feels like a nightmare someone would have had at some point cars are just machines operated by someone, but the force being produced by the engine and the driver being obscured helps with the suspension of disbelief that these are creatures if we go by statistics cars can be easily called murder machines, and seeing the lights of these "creatures" move around the dark like they are hunting for prey really enhances it this would benefit from a touch of fantasy on sound design imo, imagine sounds you'd agree sound like a car but not a _normal_ car, something leaning towards a vicious animal
Don't worry. Most kids that die of vehicular accidents are actually run over by their parents in the driveway, a problem that is rapidly increasing with the proliferation of, "light trucks," like SUVs dues to an emissions loophole. Can't see kids within thirty to fourty feet of the driver. Massive blindspots for kids. But the cars can see them. They have cameras now. And they know exactly where you are.
Simple, yet terrifying! It'd be cool tho if it was like that movie Maximum Overdrive where all mechanical things came to life so that you not only got chased by cars, but lawnmowers and soda machines would launch cans at you at 100 mph! 😂
"Make sure to pretend you are dead and not move under any circumstances" "You mean when I come across a bear, right?" "You will have wished it was a bear"
I always found the idea of evil sentient cars to be absolutely horrifying bc people seem to forget just how much damage cars can do with considerably little compact. They can move way faster than any human can run, so the faster you run, the more fucked you are when the car catches up to you. Basically 0% survival rate.
I swear I saw a couple movies with this concept, and the cars usually just become so relentless they even chase you on stairs, and vault barriers. I was betting on a pair of headlights jumping at the player at the end of that narrow alleyway.
Mm...love the ice cream van's dopplering music, disturbed that one of the cars seems to be beeping like it maybe has a passenger. I like the alleyway ending, though honestly I think it loses the 'playable nightmare' feel on gaining a story, dark as that story seems to be.
I’m starting to think this is all just a coma. Character ends up getting into a coma when a car hits them as they are talking on a payphone, would explain why the phones teleport you and why cars are hostile while not showing any drivers
The very first demo iteration had the protagonist wake up in a hospital during the night, so I'm guessing the plot is going the coma route. But the ending for this version implies things may not be as simple as it seems.
After some awful experiencess at crosswalks, I think it would be scarier if there were people in them who for unkown reason are trying to run you over.
My only problem with it after playing the demo myself is it's a one trick pony, and I thought it was going to get cleverer, but after the ice cream truck, it's just cars, and it needs some form of safe space to cool off, and one more - phones should not need for you to be too close for them to turn red and ring. I submitted my feedback, let's see if any of it gets listened to. Overall, however, this would be neat as one or several levels in a larger horror game - on its own, it's just too repetitive.
What if this guy was a drunk driver who killed people, and the cars in his coma are symbolism of the cars of drivers who died in his drunk driving accident.
Its either i have Amaxophobia or its baked to us to fear giant metal maschines, im rarely see good concepts. To dev - pls work on this it has some hidden potential
This is like Maximum Overdrive if Maximum Overdrive was scary instead of just a silly Tremors knockoff with a coked-out-of-his-mind Stephen King performance, lol. Man that movie is awesome, but it is NOT scary. THIS makes the concept of "Cars are Alive and want you dead" look pretty damn scary though.
I played an early build of Decimate Drive a few months ago, bit this latest build features all new levels, some story elements and a freaky killer ice cream van! Also, the ending is pretty intriguing!
Sheesh, never thought Ice cream van make it so scary while being chase
Dude, this is a fear I didn't know I had. Actually terrifying.
i know right this is more dread than any murdermonster could cause
The idea of being chased by a 2 ton box of steel is just terrifying
Lol?
POV: You're trans and trying to walk home late at night in the south
Have you seen "maximum overdrive" it has 11 ton steel boxes chasing people 😂
This concept seems ridiculous....I LOVE IT.
Stephen King could sue them for this… if he wasn’t ashamed of Maximum Overdrive
Bruh this is literally Maximum Overdrive if it were a video game
Finally, Maximum Overdrive is a reality we can live through! My anxiety was so high watching this.
this really feels like a nightmare someone would have had at some point

Awesome, thanks for giving the demo a shot too!
The update looks great! The game has a great concept, and I can't wait to play the full release
Yeah, I’m really loving all the updates you’re giving the game too.
Hi! Can you list the music the cars play? The Ferrari played some type of music.
Man, this simply triggered my childhood nightmares of being chased by possessed cars, just watching this gameplay left me breathless with tension.
I was hit by a car once and although therapy cured most of my PTSD, this shit does feel terrifying... will probably play to get even tougher lol
Simple, yet terrifying!
It'd be cool tho if it was like that movie Maximum Overdrive where all mechanical things came to life so that you not only got chased by cars, but lawnmowers and soda machines would launch cans at you at 100 mph! 😂
It's likely based on it.
"Make sure to look both ways."
"When I cross the street?"
"No."
"Make sure to pretend you are dead and not move under any circumstances"
"You mean when I come across a bear, right?"
"You will have wished it was a bear"
I never knew I needed a Maximum Overdrive game in my life. But now that I know this exists, it is all I want.
I always found the idea of evil sentient cars to be absolutely horrifying bc people seem to forget just how much damage cars can do with considerably little compact. They can move way faster than any human can run, so the faster you run, the more fucked you are when the car catches up to you. Basically 0% survival rate.

for example, a bike
so, someone finally made a video game like that Stephen King movie? Awesome!
the fact the concept is close to real life is what makes it terrifying
This feels like "GTA San Andreas Ghost Car myth" but without modification.
"Possessed" cars is common in movies but that execution in videogame is flawless.
3:35 congratulations, ABG, this is the only game where the NPCs drive more recklessly, inaptly and generally worse than you.
Maximum Overdrive The Game.
i'mma be honest; if it weren't for the snow, i could have sworn this was live footage of drivers in Austin. truly terrifying.
"I wanted to get some ice cream with chocolate sauce, but the only toppings they had left were the strawberry jam on the windshield."
Okay now that ending raises further questions. Installed and gonna try and play it; this is looking good.
They need an electric car to make a silent killer
This is structured like a nightmare.
Anyone here remember Maximum Overdrive? This is it, except WAY less silly...so basically more like its source material and its remake, Trucks.
Trucks was the first thing that came to mind tbh
@@masgaz9748 Yeah. Basically the same story, except played much more seriously.
@@Kingcole6 And Christine as well
Really great atmosphere. Reminds me of all the haunted vehicles in Alan Wake.
This Christine remake looks good.
Damn thats actually really scary
If a car ever did this to me, I’d yell “I know Lightning McQueen!”
Basically Twisted Metal but you play as a civilian
This is absolutely fantastic. Maximum Overdrive is one of my favorite schlocky horror films of all time.
all it needs is a semi truck with a goblin face...
Relatively believable in one area; Bollards never lose (they are good for blocking cars).
This freaked me out more than I thought it would. Can't wait till someone swaps out every single car model with a Mustang GT though.
I’m obsessed with this new horror concept. We truly cannot outrun from a car’s speed.
I gotta say, SRD really proved himself on this update. Him and Dhood productions are keeping the car horror game genre alive imo
Pretty unique type of horror game
When I played the early build it was such a twist on horror...this just makes it much more terrifying!
"Cars are alive and want blood"
Wow, this blood donation drive got really aggressive. I know I'm saving lives, but I might still kinda need my blood.
Great, now my greatest fear has become a video game.
Mm...love the ice cream van's dopplering music, disturbed that one of the cars seems to be beeping like it maybe has a passenger. I like the alleyway ending, though honestly I think it loses the 'playable nightmare' feel on gaining a story, dark as that story seems to be.
i want a mod where every time a car passes you hear Francis from l4d say. BUMPER CAR"S!!
Man! This game is pure terror!!
I’m starting to think this is all just a coma. Character ends up getting into a coma when a car hits them as they are talking on a payphone, would explain why the phones teleport you and why cars are hostile while not showing any drivers

In Soviet Russia Carmaggedon plays you
This is intense to watch!
Oh nice. A pedestrian in Chicago simulator!
This seems inspired by Stephen King's short story Trucks (or Maximum Overdrive).
It's excellently done, though. :)
Goddamn Decepticons
thats actually a pretty cool concept
So it’s like Christine and Maximum Overdrive
Basically if the “Evil Cars” cheat from Saints Row 1 and 2 got a horror game spinoff.
The cars moving on their own, reminds me of that one eternal cylinder enemy
Interesting that the ice cream truck is playing Daisy, Daisy- a shout-out to 2001: A Space Odyssey? A veiled hint as to what might be causing this?
If I had a dollar for each time ABG play a games with murderous cars I'll have 3 which isn't a lot but it weird it happened 3 times
After some awful experiencess at crosswalks, I think it would be scarier if there were people in them who for unkown reason are trying to run you over.
People who have been dead and frozen at the wheel for months.
So this is how Pixar's Cars started off?
This is basically christine the game
Reminds me of that horror movie
Where the girl encounters a killer living car
But i forgot the movie title tho :D
Christine?
Gas is to expensive for this to be scary now 🙄
realy good concept for a horror game
Love it when i love cars!
Going on a cycle I have the same experience !
Daisy, daisy give me answer do...
Nice ice cream van :)
Pretty intense! 😆👍🏼
The a.i art really puts me off of your videos
This looks awesome.
An Ice cream Truck in the middle of Winter?
I'm actually scared, lol
Needs more '58 Plymouth!
The thumbnail looks like Lighting McQueen on a Killing Spree.
This reminds me of the first Saints Row games when you put on the cheats Evil Cars.
oh god if a tank was in this game the player would die instantly
My only problem with it after playing the demo myself is it's a one trick pony, and I thought it was going to get cleverer, but after the ice cream truck, it's just cars, and it needs some form of safe space to cool off, and one more - phones should not need for you to be too close for them to turn red and ring.

Guess I’ll be riding my bike from now on 😂
This game actually reminds me of that one regular show episode
Ello Guvna
A sequel to the movie Christine would be cool if it were something like this
1:37 soooo campers are ambush predators. Got it.
Reminds me of this Stephen King movie...
Also some other movie called Trucks.
Just Stop Oil protesters' nightmare
This is based on a movie.
Maximum Overdrive (1986)
This game is obviously fantasy.if it' s based on reality, bicycle and it's rider is the real monster
I can't take this seriously because of Forsen streams. I'd just start laughing when I play this
Stephen KIng wrote a story about it.
Aw come on man! Don’t do this to me as a car lover. Making a culture into a fear.
But anyway, keep up your work man. Love your videos.
You're going to hate the movie Maximum Overdrive
gmod scars memories
Needs more anxiety.
Liget makes my hair stand when its about to ram you,i can handle animals they are of flesh, these i cannot deal with.
This would be great cardio exercise
GTA V chaos mod be like
What if this guy was a drunk driver who killed people, and the cars in his coma are symbolism of the cars of drivers who died in his drunk driving accident.
Possibly! If you look carefully there are two bodies in the hotel room at the end though. Not sure how that figures into it.
Legit nightmare fuel
This game stressed me the fuck out xD
Its either i have Amaxophobia or its baked to us to fear giant metal maschines, im rarely see good concepts. To dev - pls work on this it has some hidden potential
american attempting to cross the street
Stephen King’s Christine
*Hello Guv'nor*
I dream about this once
What? This is just living in central California simulator with central Californian drivers
California? With all that snow?
@@_ArmIa We get snow here
