That's a big change compared to the 2008 model.
    I own both 2008 and a 2018.
    Love these subis
    Thank you for the video.

things that are commonly spliced into the reverse light (which i assume that extra connector is) can be power for backup camera (if it is not powered from the headunit, like yours probably is) or backup sensors. Basically anything that needs power but only when reversing :)

Just purchased for my Legacy. Thanks for the insight. Would love to see you do more with the Subaru.

It’s happening, the Legacy doesn’t have many mods I can do. Of course I could put a 2” lift kit on it? Hmmm. Thanks for commenting and if you haven’t please subscribe, I do have another Subaru video uploading in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the video. Made it easy to change r-lights on my sons legacy.
I am guessing the extra wiring harness is for attaching a back up camera.

I'm not sure, ours does have a camera. I imagine it's for another accessory maybe on Outbacks. Subaru tries to share lots of parts with all models to cut down on waste.

Can you do the low beam bulb as well.

Yes. I like the bright white DOT approved bulbs for the low beams. amzn.to/3ur5hZW

Thanks for the video. I assume the other outlet is for a back up alarm which activates when the reserve lights are turned on. Not sure why you would want on of those on a Legacy...

Yes, I’m not sure about that plug, I’ll ask my Sunil mechanic next time I see him. Thanks for commenting, more Subaru stuff on the way.
