Intro To Using The SCARM Simulator To Build John Allen's Timesaver Shunting Layout Model Train

This is a introduction into using the SCARM model railroad simulator to build and test a model train layout. I'm building a John Allen shunting layout called The Timesaver in N scale. I'm using the SCARM system to check the design and function of the layout. The Timesaver is a small shunting puzzle for five rail cars and a switching engine. There are five sidings and a run around that allows the engine to get to either side of the railcars. The siding hold a maximum of three cars on two sidings and only two cars on the remaining three sidings. The game is similar to a missing piece puzzle where you have to move the pieces using the empty space, except this uses model train cars and freight loading docks...
