Great video! Love seeing the two of you are on the same page, and have been for many years. Two years ago I established my MQA "living expenses" account, and what a tremendous relief that has been. Waiting on the bill, to write the check! Still tweaking my budget for the non essentials, entertainment, vacation. Hard to spend on "wants" when I really want to be better with investing. So looking forward to many more M&M videos! I especially liked how Michael said it's counter productive to be critical. This weekend I will do my homework for the past year, and how everything was paid (I'm curious to hear more about this remark Michael made...) Thanks guys.... See you next week!! :)
Totally loving the M&M Mondays!! Man I wish it were longer! ..I really enjoy having your experience and input on the financial topic and I'm excitedly wait for the more in depth breakdown to!!!! Michael has such a calm, likeable presence...and lets be honest..he's easy on the eyes but you of course already know all that..lol.. (in a polite way as I too am married) .I feel like his approach makes me inspired to listen n apply his knowledge to make my marriage and financing flow better..I agree with other comments in maybe putting up some sample of how things are arranged or some types of visual explanations (I'm hear what you're saying but I am a visual person in general) I will be sitting down with my husband to get this process started and I definitely took away some valuable basic things just to get a ballpark figure of were "dollar for dollar" my money is actually going. .Thank you both so much for doing this, look forward to more of series!! Ps. I love your fun loving dynamic between eachother..I'm in my 7th year of marriage and I pray I have that kind of love with my husband for many many year to come! BTW, I have tried Mint and really like it. Here's a tip for your subscribers, when shopping at big box places like Target or Walmart, I have learned to keep grocery and everything else kind of separate in my cart and at the checkout I either do 2 transactions or at least the receipt will basically have grocery on the top and all else on the bottom. Makes it much easier for recording in Mint and otherwise you'll never really know how much you spend on groceries. Can't wait for the next installment!

Absolutely LOVE this video! My family follows Dave Ramsey's approach to money and it has changed our lives. Thankfully we both had parents that had a similar approach to money and that was passed down to us. Soooo scary to see what happens when people don't own their finances. Thanks, M & M!
Hi Marnie! I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to you & your husband for taking the time to organize this video. I'm in my twenties, one year out from graduating college with my Master's degree, & find myself spinning each month to keep track of my expenses. I'm making a good income, but haven't come up with a way to get perspective on ALL of my expenses that seem to pop up. I'm constantly reworking things, while trying not to overspend on all of the fun things when I think I have money left over each month (makeup, clothes, you know...). My parents are good with managing their money, but have relied on professionals for the organizational aspect as far as I know. So, I am incredibly grateful to have you & your husband to look to and learn from. I am sitting here at 4:30 am before work with my pen & paper taking notes... and will be waiting for the next video! Again, thank you both!

Great video! My fiance and I are getting married in November and we just created a mint.com page and combined some accts. I have never had anyone pay attention to my spending before but saving for the wedding has tightened my belt. He is handling the money and I actually feel a relief. I'm 28 and for 10yrs I've been the one in charge of my money. He has a similar mindset to you guys. This video just reinforced what he's been saying. For example, every 6 months I pay my car insurance policy in full. It always hurts me bad when that bill is due. He is like, just set it aside every month as part of your budget and you'll never have to worry. When it is allotted for something, it is always there when you need it. Stess free. I look fwd to more of these videos.
Great video! Our budget has changed our life? It has taken all the stress away. The most help for me was when we started budgeting for Christmas shopping. Now it is fun to shop for gifts and I am not paying for gifts months later. Very helpful info!
