I tried Eggnog for the first time this year and it tasted like bubblegum but my friend said I was totally crazy!! Good to know I'm definitely not >: ))
Zach Barrett well at least you guys have nice sweet tastes 😅 I have a taste thing that makes everything too bitter. I don't have anything to compare it to because it's all I've known but vegetables all taste like grass to me whilst other people enjoy them and apparently all the deserts I make are ridiculously sickly sweet to everyone else but to me they are just right 😂

Emily Lightning You think so? I see it as more of a pretty solid brown (as opposed to a reddish-brown), but then, I’ve never tried to paint with it either. Definitely tempted now that I’ve watched this, though! I’d like to see her try brewing and painting/inking with walnut ink. There’s SO much cool stuff out there to use as art mediums.
Emily Lightning I suppose, maybe. I just don’t imagine they’d differ _too_ much, all black tea is made from the same species of tea leaf. Otherwise it wouldn’t be black tea. You know what I’m saying? I’ve left tea stains on a lot of stuff throughout my life, and it always looks pretty brown. I drink like, 3-4 cups a day... I always have to swish with peroxide before I brush so I don’t get awful tea stains 😬😂
•••That shit works, and if you ever need an extra whitening boost, mix a paste of peroxide and baking soda to brush with after you swish with peroxide. It’s the only thing I’ve ever found that doesn’t bother my sensitive teeth, and it works better than the many whitening products I’ve tried. Costs a hell of a lot less, too.

How about you make this a series? There might not be that many mediums left lol, but you can try juice (like mango or apple), hot chocolate, or soda (like Coca-Cola or orange fanta)
You can also try melted ice cream or smoothies/milkshakes too, I guess, but it might smell

There is also this very strong juice that you add water to, its called Squash.
She could experiment with different amounts of water to give the artwork a different variety of tones.

Galaxy Blue I'm American and I really enjoy tea! Most people I know love tea too :) I think it depends more on what a person is used to.Like if they are used to super flavorful and sugary drinks, they most likely won't enjoy a more toned down and subtle drink, like tea. 😄

I actually really like how you little tea rays turned out. Your coffee one looks like its full of energy with powerful bolting rays, like sunlight. This tea one looks much more relaxed with the rays branching out like little lazy rivers, just flowing on by without a care in the world. It's a nice contrast. If you do another one like this I think you should make it half coffee and half tea.

It's kind of funny but I'm not a big fan of tea except for a few selection of teas I like but drink rarely, Maccha is one of them and it surprised me, it's strange at first but it does taste so good! I had a warm feeling in my stomach even after an hour.

That's actually kind of wild. Even though the coffee one looked great I would say this one looked better. It's got it's own appeal you know? I feel like the broken lines fit very well in both this piece and with your art style in general. I think the splatters and 'explosion' of tea was the best part. Tea is supposed to be relaxing, so the way it looks without it being a full explosion fits perfectly (in my opinion of course). I would love to see more!

Not all green tea is matcha. Most green teas aren't, in fact. And you're totally right, both matcha and sencha - the most popular Japanese green teas - can have a bit of a seaweed-y taste. Other varieties from China, India, Sri Lanka etc. usually don't. Try some classic Chinese gunpowder tea or maybe one with jasmine if that's your thing.
Source: I'm a tea snob who only ever gets herbal infusions (i.e. anything not containing actual tea, like peppermint, rooibos or chamomille) in teabags because most prepackaged teas don't taste great.
Kasey I love your work! I just watched your blood illustration and i at first was put off lol... But i loved it and aspire to have your passion.
Also I really like the color of the green matcha tea but was wondering you keep saying powder and was wondering, did you use a tea bag to brew it??? Im guessing powder it's jist I never heard of powder tea... And maybe if you tried matcha bags it wouldn't be so chunky? Just thought was super cool to get a color like thatout of tea. Ooo and you could try some of the different kinds of colorful fruit teas out there!
I love this! Eggnog does taste like bubble gum to me. I don't really know what to say about giving another liquid to paint with, but uh...maybe candy? It's a thing I used to do in my art class. Keep up the great work!

I really liked the colors once I tried painting with tea without knowing that it changes colors when it dries 🤣 It looked okay tho.

Kasey Golden my mom had a whole gallon XD she tells me its good, then I take a big class and drink it, and not even like 2 seconds later I spit it into the sink. XD I dont like eggnog, but I do like some teas, like the berry one. :O
