Kids (country kids) aren't a concern at all....kids on a farm learn quickly what they should and should not touch....while we pad and cover our city kids with safety gear, farm kids tend to learn a bit more and are taught a bit more about the physical hazards of our world...just my opinion having grown up around all matter of dangerous farm equipment and infastrucucture. When we were kids our parents let us pull up the barbed wire fence and sled down the hill ....UNDER THE FENCE!!!! Bhahhaaahha!! Now cattle getting cut would be our biggest concern...so we turn the ties inward as far as we can so the hazard is reduced.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmerLol. That reminds me of a comedian, Jeff Allen. He said before there was all this safety equipment and warning labels, the dumb kids just didn't make it. 😅
@nicoleking772 I wouldn't say tougher, just with a different skillet from the vastly different experiences they've been offered. I'm lucky enough to have grown up working on farms while going to school in the city, and although the city kids I've made friends with have never had a day of haying, I can confidently say they're still tough as nails.

Always enjoy your videos. I'm glad you addressed in the bloopers about welding Galvanized metal. Those fumes are nasty and drinking milk will help! God Bless.
Great tip at the end. I have welded galvanized before and yes it requires a special respirator. I have once had the respirator come off while grinding in a tight spot and yes it gave me flu like symptoms for 3-4 days. Wear your PPE.
Josh On the fencing progress; that is great is that pretty near all fencing? Any cows still pregnant? I so 51 cattle up on Stonet Ridge Farm up where I live the property it's free range the cowboy and his veterinarian daughter just today brought up & put out 84 pair of cattle cows & calves so it slow going up & down the mountain road for a month or 2, until they learn the ropes of automobiles and trucks; about that time they all wrangle them back to the valley & winter starts in for 5 & a half to 6 months. But the cattle run rough shod eat any vine ie pumpkin thats not fenced. Such is free range mountain life. Dog gone Canadians are not in control of forest fires that all can run right over.the border making it very smokey, pushing wolf packs & some potentially grizzly bears south over the border which really change the dynamics for the deer species, like elk & moose. Hi, there. QUESTION please: what keeps the fence wires from slipping, up and off the posts, on those steep hills? Really enjoyed this video, very informative and satisfying to watch these experts. God bless.
That looks a lot easier than planting wood post and pounding T posts all day! Any idea how long those steel posts last? Mainly concerned about rust. Looks great!
these are SS40 posts....meaning schedule 40...not grandmas old chainlink fence posts...they should last 60-100 years if the soil isn't caustic in most cases. We're building a lifetime fence here my brother...t post will rot off in the ground at about 20-30 years...chineseum steel just rots apart
Man has your farm come along way Josh but it’s always been true. You get out of it what you put into it and lookin at this fence company you get what you pay for so you should be satisfied with the results.👍🏼‼️

I know the cows will really benefit from this set up Most farms don't care about shade for their cattle...I am happy that you do. Have a great rest of your summer ‼️😎🤠🪶🦅🦅
Since I bought materials several years go ....Pre-covid and inflation....my material costs were around $4k...total cost of construction now would be around 20-30k for a fence like this, maybe more. You can just about figure on around $12-$16 per foot on pipe fence with high tensile woven wire
My dad was a boilermaker/welder for decades. They didn’t understand the lead concentration found with the zinc in the galvanized metals. They didn’t understand lots of things. He has breathing problems today because of it all. He is pushing 80 though so not too shabby.
The Romans were immune to radiation because of all the lead in their bodies. They used a lot of lead in pipes, pots and utensils. They also used LEAD ACETATE as a sweetener. They used it like you would use sugar!!! It was the Roman version of Aspartame, just ad a lot of steroids to it, and it poisoned many!
Sure i thought i heard him the galvanized post would be suitable for a post pounder while the wood post woukd t be. Im sure he meant the type of driver they are using is suitable for just galvanized posts. Ive seen your fencing videos and seen post drivers on wood posts in them. Just confused me for a second. Fence looks great!
Your investing in peace of mind. I don't blame you. My neighbor has a bunch of t-posts he said I could have, (those are machos dinar now). I'm small time, good for garden plots (deer). Thanks, get I'll over there (don't look gift horse in the mouth).
Seems like it might be faster to run the fence as you drive the posts sense the machine does both. You wouldn’t have to back track, but I’m ignorant when it comes to a fencing machine. I’ve only done acre sized fences. Only one with metal posts.
no sir....you'll just get in a tangled mess...drive your posts, then run the wire....you won't save time doing it the other way and your fence won't look this good either
The fence of this quality is not priced by the foot. I build fences myself, and pricing by the foot is the old way of doing it, and it is a sure enough way to sink your business. No two properties are the same. Root rocks, etc. For example, sometime I quote jobs & math tells you I come to 8 dollars a foot while your buddy I quoted at 4 for the same quality fence. It's depends on your job.
