@@intrudergrid9530well, you can now if you are in Europe. They currently are only pre-order, but Brake Free EU is run by one guy, and he is backordering at the moment due to high demand. I just ordered mine and it will be sent within the next 20 days.
It’s a good unit. I laughed a bit when I read the front of the box and saw the phrase “glove friendly”. It’s def not glove friendly, but thats my only complaint.
I believe you may be referring to the LED strobe effect that some cameras pick up. I explain it at 00:01:46 in the video. It's not a feature of the my particular helmet, but rather a defect of my camera.
@@EVRider OHHHHH ok i rewatched your whole video so dat is just a camera glitch, but dat effect looks cool , i just bought mine few days ago , hopefully on the v2 version dey add more cool light effects just like dualtron leds customizations , BRAKE FREE if ur watchin dis pleaaaaseeeee add more led effects 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@EVRiderit's not a camera defect. It is a difference in sync between the frame rate of your camera and the rate (hz) of the lights. Can easily be fixed.
@@LuggruffFair enough. I'll concede that point although I'll add some cameras do a better job avoiding LED flicker than others in auto mode, which was the mode the 360 camera was in at the time.
@@Luggruff I shot that on a dark, drizzly winter day. Had I used anti-flicker (50 or 60 hz) or a different frame rate other parts of the image quality may have suffered since when shooting 360 video on a motorcycle I am shooting blind. Those shots were produced in auto mode at 5.7k at 30fps on my Insta360. But yes, my word choice to explain the flicker could have been better.
in the new paradigm, no one manufactures all parts of the product and many components do not offer that level of reliability. So, one IC fails, one resistor develops a glitch and the product fails. It's a tangent running from the global-sourcing model and China being a super-hub for manufacturing but one with no internal quality and regulatory guarantees.
Brake Free is only 200 grams or 6oz. Which means it's the same weight as most action cams in a case, but it mounts in the back, so no extra drag or noise. Most riders, including Chase On Two Wheels, and EV Rider have mentioned they don't notice the extra weight while riding. The size of the unit was optimized for visibility and fits most helmets. Engine braking IS a braking event, so why shouldn't it activate?! It does not go off when going over bumps, head movements, and other non-braking events. We understand it's not for everyone, but anyone looking to drastically improve their visibility, Brake Free is a must.
Stupid comment to make. Great idea and it works great especially for first generation. I’m sure second generation will be slimmer and longer battery time
Engine braking is exactly as it sounds. If you’re going from 40 to 37 mph, rightfully so should the thing light up. And i know some women that dont even notice the difference so i think you’re going to be alright.
I've had mine for a few weeks and love it. Zero issues with mounting and I haven't noticed any extra weight or drag on my modular helmet. It must be working because people have pulled up at stop lights and told me that they noticed me because of it. All in all, I'm very happy with it and for me it's worth the price.
Doesn’t sound like you ride. Engine breaking is the most used type of breaking when on two wheels.Only time I actually used my brakes was to come to a complete stop from whenI was already below 10 mph. And companies specifically make a module to light up for engine braking for that reason.
I have been looking at 1 since doodle mentioned it,trying to save the money for 1,they’re always sold out
And you can't order outside the US!

I guess you could say it's glove friendly before you put your helmet on and get on the bike.. Lol.
@@EVRider no, it’s not glove friendly in any way. You really have to push the button hard.
How much is the pricing of this one today???
As of this morning the price on Brake Free's website was $170: www.brakefreetech.com/
I recon this is a brilliant idea best safety device iv seen in years the price is much cheaper than hospital bills 👍❤️jimmy Australia
0:43 how come that option is not available from my unit? mine is not like dat on 3.modes, even on most of the youtube reviews it is not like dat

Is this better than Cosmo connect?
I don't know. I don't have any knowledge of the Cosmo Connect.
cheap compared to being rear ended and wrecking yourself or bike
Nice brake free but will not fit my LS2 Valiant II Revo helmet !
What kind of helmet? 😂
I wouldn't buy a helmet that's $170 anyway
At least $400 and above.
Con: one year warranty.
Come on people stand behind your products. One year is nothing.

Lol, I guess safety should be cheap

Nice idea, but in need of much improvement. Too large, too heavy, responds too much to non breaking action (engine breaking), etc..
