    Supplied so many of those Fujitsu desktops., back when they were new. The hardware is rock solid. We had very few failures compared to other well known corporate brands. I have one of the older versions of this pc so am tempted to see if it can also be a respectable Hackintosh.

      Lets not mention their server range.. I've never seen one, but from what I do hear, firmware updates were roulette.

    • @pkf4124
      @pkf4124 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Servers are rock solid, in 7 years only ever had 1 doa which was a daughter card failure , not even a Fujitsu pert, and two that failed in the first year of the 3 year warranty. As I had all, the Fujitsu type training so was certified to do my own repairs, they just sent the parts on a 4 hour replacement, all machines back up and running before the end of the day. Where I work now we use Dell and HP, there are 5 Fujitsu servers in the Data centre, that never go wrong, with the exception of the EMC kit neither Dell or HP ever manage to get same day fix, so we rely on the failover for each server. Their desktop and laptop repair is woeful, they seem to rely on re-certified parts that are often just broken in an other area. Agreed Fujitsu server firmware updates could be a little sparse but they seemed to update when it was important enough, not just because they changed the logo for the start screen . HP. Bonus with Fujitsu servers anything from 2010 onwards seems fine funning windows 8 onwards, so can be used as desktops. I use one for compiling its a brute force thing with 128gb of ram and 16 cores, cost me nothing as it was going to be scrapped.

    Much RAM is always good regardless if Windows, Linux or macOS. With older hardware, RAM upgrades were the best buck for the money.
    As for older Apple Hardware, it is almost always possible to upgrade the RAM to much more than Apple specified at the time this hardware was new and sold in the shops.
    Ian Page is doing a terrific job with his Mactracker App (for iOS, for Mac (either at the Mac App Store or as a free download at the Mactracker website) to list all available information about every Apple product ever build / sold. I love my M1 Pro Mac, but one thing that is sad about the new architecture is that eventually Apple will stop releasing Mac OS versions for Intel and hence the modern day Mackintosh community will be replaced. I do love the new architecture though, the 2016 and on Intel MacBook Pros were absolute trash in my opinion and I was not a fan. Was a PC person at this time.
    I hope AMD & Intel will start really getting into ARM soon.

    • @BartechTV
      @BartechTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure, Apple will eventually drop support for Intel from new macOS releases, but they'll also eventually drop support for M1, and a couple of years later, for M2.
      Apple seem to have adopted a five year support period, which means that a new Mac will be compatible with future OS releases for 5 years after the machine is first released.
      The last Intel Macs were released in 2020, so whatever macOS comes out after Sonoma will likely be the last major OS release that supports Intel. The 2025 macOS will probably drop Intel support and I also expect it to drop support for the first generation M1 Macs - the Mac Mini, MBP and MBA, since they also came out in 2020 and will be five years old by then. Apple generally release security updates for a couple of years after that, so Intel Macs (and therefore hackintoshes) have maybe 4 years left.

    • @angelahornung8488
      @angelahornung8488 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BartechTVNot bad thinking though I'm hoping for eight years when it comes to the new ARM Macs. If AMD & Intel adopted a similar architecture and Windows transitioned, I wonder if then Hacintosh would still be possible? My brain says no because the architectures can't match exactly as Apple has ownership over the specifics of the M series chips. Though my dreams say yes because it would be cool.

    Motherboard : Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E Gaming WIFI D5
    RAM : 32Go
    GPU : Asus ROG STRIX AMD RX 6600XT
    HardDrive :

    Up to my last Hackintosh I was following the Dortania installation guide, but the 13th Intel gen isn't taken in consideration in this guide. So, what is the way to create the correct EFI for this setup ? What DSDT and SSDT, args, drivers, kexts ? I found some EFI for this MB but I wonder how people do to create their EFI on MB + CPU not documented yet ?

    Hello, I am sorry to bother you, but I followed your tutorial (and the second video) without any issue until the use of OCLP to apply root patches (install the HD4600 drivers). At this step, and after the reboot, I am stuck on the boot logo with the progress bar stuck at 1/3, and nothing move. The only difference is that I used an Intel i7 4770 (the maximum for the motherboard of the P420). Do you have any tips to solve this problem ? Also, I am not able to boot without the use key, I used OCAT to mount both EFI partitions, copy the EFI folder from the usb key to the internal SSD, but the motherboard doesn't seems to recognize the drive as bootable.
