Do you have a die-cutting machine? Have you used it lately? Go and grab it, because you can do much more than cutting or embossing.😊😊 Have you tried this already?
Thank you, Celine! I’m so happy you found the idea inspiring. Using a die cut machine for printing opens up so many possibilities right?-have fun experimenting with it. 😉
That’s fantastic Stephanie! A Big Shot machine opens up so many creative possibilities. I’m excited for you to try this project-it's a perfect way to break it in! Can’t wait to see what you make! ❤️
This is so inspiring! Absolutely stunning prints, and to be able to bring in fabrics and corrugated cardboard … wonderful! Thank you so much for a truly excellent tutorial.
Thank you so much, Alanna! I’m thrilled to hear that you found the technique inspiring! 🌼 It’s all about exploring new possibilities together, so I’m glad you liked it.
Thank you, Hilde! It sounds like you’re in the perfect spot for inspiration with a forest as your garden! Ohh my, I love forests.😊 I’m sure your die-cut machine will be very busy soon!😀😀
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the demo and the idea of incorporating nature's elements into the process. It's always inspiring to work with what nature provides!
Just found your blog this morning and I LOVE IT!!!! Thank you sooooo very much! I have a barely used embossing machine that now is going to become a favorite tool!!
I'm so glad you found my blog, Chrystal! It's wonderful to hear that you're excited about using your embossing machine. So many of us have the embossing machine resting for ages right? I can't wait to see what you create with it!😊✨
Hi Francisca, a BRILLIANT tutorial! I have seen people use their gelli plates before. However, not in the same way, with the botanicals. I just LOVE ❤ how your prints turned out. Thanks for sharing your great techniques. 😀🦘🐨🇦🇺
Thank you so much for this brilliant video - and I was thinking that I didn't need my Sizzix any more! Although I don't seem to be able to cultivate many flowers in my Florida garden - at least not the ones I want! - I have loads of ferns and foliage around me. I just love this idea and am itching to start printing on my hundreds of beginner get prints, which are, if I'm honest, not so wonderful. Add a layer of botanical prints and I think they will become wonderful!
Thank you for sharing this technique, and what a fun fall project! I've gathered and pressed my botanicals and am looking forward to trying on both fabric and paper! Just subscribed 🙂
Thanks, Kelley! I'm excited for you to try this technique with your pressed botanicals! Fabric and paper are going to look amazing together. welcome aboard! 😊
Dear Francisca: Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and wonderful botanical printing techniques. I will now be printing for the rest of the day! 😊❤
This is fantastic! And fairly easy to do. I know what I'll be doing now: collecting leaves and drying them. Thank you so much for the brilliant tutorial.
Hi Deb! If you can still gather some of those leaves, go for it! The color doesn’t matter much for this technique, and if they’re already dried, that’s even better! Dried leaves actually work best here. Fresh leaves would give a different result, so you’re all set. Don’t worry about waiting until next year! 💛
Absolutely! You can definitely use different colored leaves, like yellow, green, and red, to create vibrant prints with your Sizzix and acrylic paints.
Hi Carol! To clean the paint off the plates, I usually soak them in warm soapy water for a bit. Then, a gentle scrub with a sponge or brush helps remove any remaining paint. If you have stubborn spots, a little rubbing alcohol can do wonders! I'm glad you liked the idea of adding black. 😚😚
Hi Debbie, Haha, I get that!😁😁 A bigger machine opens up more creative possibilities! 🎨 As for adding something to the paint for usable items, consider mixing in a fabric medium if you're working on fabric. It helps keep the paint flexible and soft after drying. Or using directly fabric paint. I never tried, but will work for sure. Try and let me know.

what a great idea! I can't get botanicals now as I live in Canada and all the leaves are yellow and dry! I'll have to wait until next year! ♥

Love this idea! I always collect and dry plants! Also have 2 big shots! Question....do you seal the acrylic on fabric?
Thank you 😊😊😊 Can do the colors where you get different colored leaves. I mean, 👍 yellow and green or red
Absolutely! You can definitely use different colored leaves, like yellow, green, and red, to create vibrant prints with your Sizzix and acrylic paints.
This is so exciting! I can't wait to make prints with my leaves. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear you found the video helpful and inspiring.

How do you get the paint off the plates? Thank you for the idea. Adding black is genius😊

You're welcome, Paula! Thank you
Lol, just want a bigger machine. ❤❤ Do you suggest adding something to the paint if I'm using for usable items?
Hi Debbie, Haha, I get that!😁😁 A bigger machine opens up more creative possibilities! 🎨 As for adding something to the paint for usable items, consider mixing in a fabric medium if you're working on fabric. It helps keep the paint flexible and soft after drying. Or using directly fabric paint. I never tried, but will work for sure. Try and let me know.
