Love these smart home and home related vids! i got the Q revo base off from your vids last year and nvr looked back! saved me cleaning my home and loving it.
budget version today is not that interesting compare to last time as companies don't make them anymore, now its simply getting the best model 2-3 years ago when the price drops because of newer model release
Wow! These 2 models are so unique! Was kinda surprised that switchbot mop is a roller mop! the space saving features of these 2 models' docking station is really tempting for me... But i find that there's still alot of room for growth for such advance models. Im still using tapo robo vac as am intending to wait till the tech matures.
The base is probably cleaner bc it uses more water to clean itself since there's no restriction on it anymore with the permanent hook up to the waterline. Thanks for your videos. Always enjoying them with the overview of new tech in the robotvacuum space. Roborock offers the Roborock S8 Max Ultra also with a refill and drainage system.
How about a Top tier vs Mid Tier comparison? Would be keen to see if the extra cost is really that worth it (provided both top and mid tier have the auto refill and auto drainage)
Would be interested in a top tier comparison - this is probably the category that hits a lot of the points that most folks who are lazy like me and are willing to splurge for a robot vacuum that comes from a big player and has good features. I'm quite interested in a rolling mop and I'm quite impressed with Dreame's offerings so far (especially the feature to swivel the brushes to clean the corners), but they don't have one like this! Would be interested to see which vacuum you think cleans the best overall.
Hey Alex! Thanks for your wonderful page, learnt alot from your videos! Im having a hard time intergrating my Dreame X30 with Home Assistant. Were you successful with it?
Great video Alex! Would you recommend paying extra for the water kit installation offered by Dreame? Or do you think it can be done by home owners easily?
I could not decide between L20 ULTRA, X30 ULTRA AND T30 AI. I finally ordered X30 Ultra after watching several videos. Waiting it to arrive. Paid $638 brand new + free shipping + upto 40% cashback rewards from Microsoft. It was a deal I found few days ago. Good luck!
Would love to see comparison in maintenance. I have the roborock s7 max ultrav, the dock is extremely difficult to clean. The dock for the master seems to be able to fully detach vs the ultra where the there is a base and a removable dock.
are there a lot of moving parts or small spaces in the master after the base is removed? i also noticed you showed the filter, is the space where the filter is easy to clear?
Hi, I'm going to get a robot cleaner soon. Will like to know whether dreame x30 master can be easily installed by ourselves? I saw it for sale online and the price is for the machine only, excluding hookup kit and installation. I think the water hookup kit is inbuilt in x30 master? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Can u advise if we are able to self install the machine? If yes, is it easy? Thanks for ur videos!
Hi, great review, SwitchBot suggests using their own cleaning solution but have you found any alternative, after shipping + customs it becomes very expensive.
Hi, noticed that you have a dog, can I check if all this robot vacuums avoid dog poop? I’m afraid that I’ll go home seeing whole floor smudged with dog poop.
@@AlexTeo I watched your previous video about the L20 and it was really good so i bought it around Feb earlier this year. But i didnt know that there was a new model coming out and i only just realised when i saw your current video. I've yet to open it up as we bought it early while waiting for our BTO to be ready. I tried contacting Dreame to allow us to trade it in and pay for the upgraded X30 / X40. But all they can say is "Oh its passed our 14 days policy"
Hi Alex, I heard from a robot vacuum salesman that pipes might usually get an issue for those with direct outlets. Any suggestion if it's true and how to overcome it?
Any idea if the original battery of any of the robot vacuums can be purchased easily? My ecovacs deebot x1 omni last abt 10 mins at most these days. Tried both same and higher capacity batteries bought off Lazada but both are lemons. Enquired local ecovacs distributer but no response. The dreame x40 master is a fantastic upgrade (for me), but if there‘s no way to change batteries, it’s really too expensive when its efficiency drops drastically after 2-3 years.
Update to my ecovacs issue, ban leong, the official local support replied and confirmed they do sell replacement batteries (for S$100). Maybe the local dreame support does that too!
i see the switchbot in a new light . i stack my dryer and washing machine . Do you see anything e.g.rack that i can use to allow me to put the 10cm switch water bay ?
My l20 didn't have the in out movement since the past 1 year i have gotten it... Wierd the you have it... Hmm Saw the anti tangle brush, just bought it, hopefully it will be better than the default brush and cleans the floor even more efficiently
@@AlexTeo thanks for your intro. else i didnt know it exists... We realise the cleaning capability especially for hairs dropped a bit.... Hope this will solve the problem
Love seeing robot vacuum and handheld vacuum review! These technology really evolving fast, it's getting more n more compact.
it's been v long since my last handheld vacuum review lol
Thanks, Alex! I was holding out from buying until a refresher vid is released from you on robot vaccuums - thank you!
me too! lol 🤣
Love these smart home and home related vids! i got the Q revo base off from your vids last year and nvr looked back! saved me cleaning my home and loving it.
Happy to hear that!
Finally the drop for 2024! Thanks Alex 😄
Do a top tier and budget version around SG$1k-$1200 also pls 🙏

yeah the performance for roller mop is actually quite impressive

Thanks for the support! The L20 connects to water pipes too
I believe the X30 have rubber brush that also clean the bay when it is cleaning the mop
Yay I was waiting for your review on the dreame master series. Lucky they did not cut corners with that form factor.
ya indeed, even better with this new way of adding detergent
@@AlexTeo hi alex, does that means we can use own own detergent now? Need not specifically get from dreame?
@@eugene4261 technically you can, just make sure its about the same concentration level and ok to be used for such appliances eg. tineco, ecovacs

Ya i have the same thoughts, i hope the big brands give it a shot with roller brush
Great review
thanks for watching!
Hello Alex, may i check if I've heard this right.. at @4:17 , x30 is electronic, but x40 is manual? Wouldnt that be more of a downgrade? 😅

Im having a hard time intergrating my Dreame X30 with Home Assistant. Were you successful with it?
hey there, nope i didn't as I am constantly testing different brands of vacuum robot
Hi Alex. Do you own a dryer? Or an automated drying rack?
drying rack yes
Mid tier range please! More affordable for the general public
👍
Hi Alex! possible to include how high of a curb they can go as well? I.e to go between rooms with floor height difference/ with a curb
sorry that i have no idea and can't test, better reach out to their product support directly
top tier review , over mid-tier
👍
Dreame L40 vs Ecovacs T30!
Alternatively can consider doing a tier list for premium / budget version etc!
Yeah i like to do that as well, but technically quite hard to execute myself
How much detergent do you usually add for the x30 master for each use?
its all auto
I would like to see more comparison relating to the top brands, especially ecovas X5.
Thanks.
Top tier review, haha help us make a better decision which to buy
👍
Great video Alex!
Would you recommend paying extra for the water kit installation offered by Dreame? Or do you think it can be done by home owners easily?
If you are not a very hands on person then probably buy the sevices, the switchbot S10 is easier as compared
I just got Dreame L20 ultra at around $444. Saw Ecovac T30 at $699. Which one is more worthwhile to get?

i would go for L20, price is too good
@@AlexTeo Thanks, Alex. Appreciate your response.
Hi Alex, thanks for the review. Is it possible to remove the top cover of the station to access the dust bag without sliding the compartment out?
nope you can't
@@AlexTeo Thanks for the quick response that's unfortunate
Hey Alex, thanks for the video. Would you occasionally do manual floor mopping? Or do you think Dreame X30 Master mopping is good enough? Thanks!
really depend what is good enough for you, i used to manual steam mop once awhile, robot mopping in general is no where close
Will you be reviewing vaccum mops in the future?
example?
@@AlexTeo Products such as Dyson Wash G1, Tineco Floor One S7 Pro

Dreame L20 ultra seems a very good deal at $1200 now.
yup and L20 can use that tricut brush too
Looks like drainage is a must for robot vacuums in this era.
that's right!
Thanks for the video Alex. Can I know more about the difference between the Dreame X30 Master vs the X40 Master?
oh you can check out the shopee listing, there is a comparison chart in the pics
yes .. top tier model pls

yeah I'm not a fan of the maxv ultra base station
are there a lot of moving parts or small spaces in the master after the base is removed? i also noticed you showed the filter, is the space where the filter is easy to clear?
X40 master doesn’t seem to be in stock :/
wow so hot?
I have an area which I needed a ramp up 13° gradient. Wonder if the machines has this spec?
Better check directly with product support
Please drop the premium comparison between X40 Master, S8 MaxV and X5!!!

That vacuum cleaner is only good for new homes it's not good for older homes cost too much for replumbing in older homes
i don't get what you mean, my parent's place is almost 30 years old and i can install it at 0 cost
Some houses like mine don't have the right plumbing so therefore expensive for a plumber to come and plumbing in my house is 120 years old
