I have an AUDI Q3 and the tail light is the same configuration. On the whole of the internet this is the clearest shot of how to remove that initial screw .Thank you so much from Audi Q3 owners in the UK.BTW I found the manufacturer's Phillips screwdriver in the boot along with the tyre jack etc.
Thank you for the video. Wow. I'm at AUDI now getting my oil change and asked them to check that left back tail light in my Q5 They want to replace the whole assembly 😮. I think I'll do it myself now. Appreciate the video. They are not getting an arm and leg from me today 😅
No ,No , You Don't use a Pry Tool, ... You Just Push on the bottom of the access door and it will pop out at the Top... Then you Hit the Outside Left of the Tail light and the Right side will Pop out so you can pull the tail light Out ,.. You Do Not Use a Pry Tool on it there either...
Mine was a T-25 at a bad angle. My Q5 is a 2019. The red piece that hold the screw in place fell off I had to reattach it. Also to make sure it stays in place, I added a zip tie underneath to the frame. It’s nice and tight.
2020's use a T25 bit. For those wondering, check your spare tire well. There's a T25 extended bit located inside of your Audi tire repair toolkit. @@daveraymond2265

Great tips from the comments, no prying required. Pull the lense straight back to avoid breaking the retaining tab. (Note: 194 bulb)
You don't need to use pry tools that may damage the paint. Just push in on at the bottom of the bumper cap and it will flip forward.
Yes, it would have been very helpful to mention bulb type. I believe it's a Sylvania 2821. Appreciate the demo.
Also, to check the other bulbs in the bumper you need the tailgate open for them to be activated.
Would be nice if you mentioned the bulb type. Nice demo however.

Bulb type that worked for me (2012 Audi Q5) = Sylvania 2821
What is the spec on the side marker bulb?
What’s the bulb part # is are the two different? You originally thought it was the one on the right not the far left.
Thanks! Flipping hidden screws!
Right!

Anyone knows the bulb replacement #?
How long is your T25 screwdriver? Mine is a tad bit short to reach that bit smh
That’s a Phillips screw and I used a 12 inch long Phillips screwdriver 👊

It’s t25 on new models. 6” (homedepot) and use adaptor from your socket set
My 2015 SQ5 used a standard Phillips screw, not the Torx style, look closely before you purchase a T-25 Torx screwdriver.
Mine was a T25 screw.
*promosm* 😪
