Wish the gold single cut was still around. And, I'd really LOVE to see a few other colors like WHALE BLUE and EMERALD GREEN IN THE DOUBLE CUT SANTANA. REALLY WISH THE PRS SE ONE AND KORINA SOAPBAR WAS STILL AROUND!
I have owned a PRS Santana for several years. It sounds great, is versatile, and is VERY easy to play. I own other major brand guitars and somehow I always gravitate to this guitar. And yes, you can seriously "Santana" with this guitar.
I’ve owned this puppy for a year now. It is a damn joy to play, I feel like it’s a hidden gem. With a little distortion or overdrive this thing rips. Workhorse and butter feel. PRS knocks the MIM fenders out of the water.
I had one and loved it. I had some Core McCarty pups installed in it and it was just amazing. I sold it and regret it. But I still love the SE Singlecut Santana model (the Egyptian Gold model).
Also, love the shorter 24.5 scale with 24 frets! Cant find that anywhere! The neck on the SE didn't seem to be as big as the core, which is good! I can get along with the SE wide fat profile but prefer wide thin. Wnd my favorite neck profile on any guitar ive ever played (and own) is the early 90's CE24'S.
I have this guitar, but 2010 version, and i change hardware, nut, tremolo, electronics, pots, pickup covers, lock tuners and buttons, and now think put 57/08 pick ups, in my channel have a video, looks great
The Santana double-cut body shape is fantastic. I wish PRS would offer the Santana body shape in more models. Very ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing symmetry.
Honestly, I did not like mine when I first got it. It had a horrible setup out of the box, and I thought I made a big mistake. After replacing the stock tuners with PRS Locking tuners and fixing the setup, it's playing like butter now. Tuning stability is great. Best guitar at this price point that I've found.
I am the proud owner of one the 2022 models. Great guitar, I love the neck, the volume response, and sounds I get out of it. I think I found my dream Santana as a retro Green Fade Smokeburst. Stunning guitar. If a green fade smokeburst SE equivalent would drop, I’m first in line.
I was gifted with a Santana SE five years ago. Didn’t like the pickups, so I installed Lollar Low Wind Imperials. But, was preferring my STRAT tones, so I sold it. A week later I incurred a $1,000 car repair, which was paid for by the sale. Miss the guitar, as it played like butter, and was very well made.
I tried one recently at Guitar Center. It's a good guitar... HOWEVER (and you knew that was coming), it really feels like it wants to be a Gibson but doesn't want to commit to "the bit". That's the impression I get from it. I've never found a PRS I wanted to own, but this came close. And I really hate this bird inlays.

This Santana and the PRS DW CE 24 has the best volume/tone pod placement, far away from hand's way, perfect.
Depends on your playing style. That's a negative point for me, but I like to ride the controls a lot.

I do wish the headstock was a little softer in design. Maybe not exactly like Carlos’s but slightly rounded would’ve been a nice ode to Carlos.
