Rail Disasters is finally back after a long while with no PC for a few months but anyways, on with the series!
Rail Disasters is a Train Simulator series simulating and recreating the events of real world train accidents
Episode 11: Visually Impaired
On February 9, 1996, two NJ Transit commuter trains collided at Bergen Junction in Secaucus, NJ. This accident occurred during the morning rush hour just south of the current Secaucus Junction station. It is NJ Transit's deadliest accident to date and was the first in which NJ Transit passengers and crew died. 3 people were killed and 162 others were wounded. Investigators look into one of the engineer's medical conditions and find he had a diabetic eye disease which impaired him from reading a signal to stop.

On February 9th, 1996 before Valentine's Day, 2 Commuter Trains collided at 8:40 a.m. before noon, 3 were killed in the collision and 162 were injured the crash collision. 4148 and 5146 met their faith under the scrapper's toruch.

4148 was actually not scrapped. 1 year later it was taken to Altoon to be rebuilt into a GP40PH-2B and renumbered to the 4219 we see today.
