Dave wanted to return to Thrash, and Marty wanted to move to Japan. Dave and Marty never badmouthed each other on the press, because he was the only member to leave out of mutual accord, not because they had different styles of playing, but because they had different visions for the *_future_* of the band, and their own personal lives. If Dave had agreed to go in a heavy “nu metal” direction, Marty probably would’ve stayed. They worked together for ~10 years, that wouldn’t have been possible if they weren’t a great musical match. It was about where to go next that they disagreed on. Sonia stayed in Crypta for like 2 years or less, during a pandemic when they couldn’t tour. She’s a great guitarist, but she was a bad fit for the band from the start.
What is the likelihood of a collaboration with the beautiful Sonia and Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden? Two masters of their craft and both carry the Jackson name on stage. Make this happen Jackson!
