My favorite solo. I have ended up playing this more than any other solo game and most 2 player games in my collection (Playing each side to the best of my ability). Addictive.
Thanks! I've played a fair bit of Twilight Struggle online. I have some notes on what might be fun to do for a video on it, but at the moment I'm staying focused until I get caught up with review projects. It'll be a couple more months, but I'm making good progress.
Hello! I have a big question if you don't mind answering. I was wondering what would be a good starting game for aviation type games with chits? I am also looking for PC games with the same thing and I am wondering if you happen to know any game that has air combat. Thank you!
Happy to help, but I'd start with some questions... Solitaire or two-player game? Are you interested in tactical level (plane-to-plane or squadron) or a larger level (controlling many more planes)?
@@ZillaBlitz Two player when it comes to the board game and single player experiences for a PC game. I like the aesthetic of seeing multiple chits on the board that represent single planes but nothing too big that will require 5 hours to play. Something that looks like Task Force or Bombing Command is what I am aiming for but I have zero clue if they're good games to start off with. I have friends that love to play board games but I have a hard time getting them to get around a lot of rules so I want something that's simple but has depth.
@@doublestarships646 I wonder if the new Undaunted Battle of Britain might work? I haven't played it yet, but the entire Undaunted series is incredibly popular. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/366495/undaunted-battle-britain
If you pick it up, I'd be curious to hear how you like it! From what you've described as wants, and what the series provides, I think it might be a good fit. :)
Seems like a way to sell the same game twice, while going beyond solo and improving a possible player vs player experience, with added mechanics. Smart of them. People with friends that don't like co-op (like mine) are basically forced to get both boxes.
Ah, to clarify: The additions allow you to play the Germans solo, not opposed. But there are rules in the main game that have scenarios for playing 2-player opposed already. So you wouldn't need the expansion unless you want to play the Germans solo or play the shorter scenarios of the US solo mode. :)
Only realized a foreigner could hear the V in 'Vörwarts' as an F when I read this. The 'V' has that sound because of the 'ö' after that (that is not in the box name, interestingly) and is very much pronounced. But yes, I guess it doesn't sound the same as in English. That said, it might sound just as weird to me if an English speaker were to say 'Förwarts' with a deep Anglo 'F'. In addition, note that without 'ö', a German V does not have that sound. For example, I cannot believe 'verstanden' would be heard by an Anglo as 'ferstanden'.
@@KnightofAges it's vorwärts, not vörwarts. Vörwarts is not a word (and neither is vorwarts, for that matter). And yes, it is very much pronounced with an Anglo F.
Great video, greetings from Chile
Thanks, Nicolas! Welcome to all from Chile! :)

Oh, that's good news! I'm really looking forward to giving it a play. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks again, ZB! Hope you enjoy it!
My pleasure, Hermann, I'm looking forward to it. Looks like a lot of fun. :)
Great video, By the way how would you feel about a twilight struggle playthrough

@@ZillaBlitz Alright, thanks
@@michaelferrua4717 I may have just picked up the new TS: Red Sea game on Steam, though. :)

Pronounced Forwarts, not Vorwarts. V in German is pronouced as a F.

Thanks for the point and elaboration, gentlemen. Both things make sense. There are places in Japanese that are similar. :)

Only sometimes v is pronounced like an f, but not generally. "Pulver" is not pronounced "Pulfer"
