Thank you so much Jess I have been looking for a video to explain how not to break the top of my Christmas tree candles You seriously have saved me thank you so much I’m so happy you posted this video
You are so welcome!!! I am so glad it was helpful for you :D
Which type of wax do you use? Soy wax or so not as hard as needed for such detailed type of mold. Thank you.
I am using a pillar palm wax in this video
hi! this may be such a silly question but how do you reuse the mold? just rubberbanding it back together?
Hi! No question is a silly question, just a perspective I have not ever thought about before. :) Yes you can reuse the mould many times. The rubber bands just hold the silicone in place when you go to pour in the wax. You remove the rubber bands when the wax is cooled and hardened to break open the mould and get the candle out. You can just use the rubber bands again to close the mould back up and pour in a fresh batch of melted wax and make more candles again. I hope this helps, please let me know if you need anything else clarified :)
Awesome thanks I was wondering the same exact thing Ive been using pony tails lmao prob cheaper to use rubber bands though thanks so much I don't feel so dumb anymore
Also, Where Did You Buy Your Christmas Tree Molds?
Thanks Again!!!
You are most welcome! I bought these moulds off of ebay. :)
Amazon hehehehe they have every thing 😂
Thanks For Helping!!!

ive seen this sort of tip before but the problem i have hoping you can save me screaming is..... I am new to candle making and bought a bust mould which I really like, BUT I think now I am onto my 8th attempt at removing the candle and only once have I succeeded without chopping her head off. 🤬 The mould isnt of the thick type silicone, its very thin, so to cut then use elastic bands I cant see how that would work ???? any other remedies plz plz plz Obviously to shape the mould for her neck, it then means ive to tease the head through that small area. Driving me nuts!
Hmm yes I can see why cutting a thin mould might not be the best option. The first thing I would recommend is to use a very hard wax likes beeswax, paraffin or palm wax. I would steer clear of soy pillar blends for this type of mould, they are just too soft and won't do what you need. Next, just try to stretch the mould around the head, if you use a hard enough wax the head should not break off. Send me a link to the mold you bought/are using so I can look at it.
I'm trying not to cut my molds 😢 but I'm realizing that I have no choice..😢
Don't be afraid to cut your mould! You can still use it if it is cut :D
@Candle_Making_With_Jes someone said I could put it in a plastic cup and it would seal it again. I think k it's a good idea but I'm still not sure. My candles will get sink holes if they leak? Or do I just pour really super slow?
@@ElizabethDermody I have no idea... I have never put my moulds into a plastic cup before. I always use elastic bands around the cut moulds to hold them together and sticky tack to hold the wick from leaking out. You could try just one candle and see how it goes but just watch the temperature so you don't melt the plastic cup 🙈
Mokd down the tree,❤❤❤
Do you mean you want me to make videos showing me unmoulding the tree??
