    I recently bought a JXP 10mm HP, installed an KAK compensator, an Feyachi HL-20 light, and a Holosun 407c red dot on it and I really enjoy how it shoots and how accurate it is. I’ve shot 60 rounds so far with no failure to feeds.

When I picked it up at the FFL which sells many high end guns, all of the employees and a few customers were passing this around with some kind of fascination. mine jammed via failure to feed every single magazine multiple times, I took it apart, cleaned it, lubricated the feed ramp, and yes I was using tested magazines from my 1095. I will be taking it to the range this weekend to see if the feed ramp just needed a polishing and the slide some lubrication. It seems to be feeding 40 s&w snap caps with little issue, I love hi point, they generally make a great product, I hope this isn't the first time I have to use their life time warranty. I will reply an update and edit the comment after firing 50 rounds through it at the range.

    Thank you for the detailed report. I am a revolver guy so if and when I can afford to get back into shooting my first purchase will probably be a .38. In autos my preference is for DA/SA but if the safety really is safe to carry I might just pick up a C9 for a backup and just to have something that uses the ubiquitous 9 if it ever was the only thing available. They seem to do what they need to do when needed so why not.

      @@mkshffr4936 if it's finances you are worried about it's understandable. being able to afford the gun and enough ammo for range time and to take home is important.
      if you don't mind caliber, you could probably get away with a TX-22. it's in .22lr but with how cheap .22 and the gun in question are you could get enough ammo for a decent amount of range time and still have some to take home.

    It would be very interesting to see if this would fire - as some 10mms do - .40S&W cartridges, and cycle them reliably. That would certainly put frosting on the cake - although it is ALWAYS a bad idea to just carelessly load a round for which a gun is not explicitly chambered, unless the manufacturer identifies the caliber as supported. For example, .38 spl/.357 Magnum, or .45/,45 Super, etc. I only bring it up because of the stamping of both calibers on the magazine.

    You probably dont have to pull the mag out to rack slide, just press the button and let the mag pop out a bit and pull the slide back, then push the mag fully back in.

    • @flatplaneoregon4605
      @flatplaneoregon4605 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are correct, instead, remove the lockout bar under the right grip panel and throw it in the "cleaning" solvent tray for the future.
      Mind the small spring\s on the backside of the panel.
      It may even moderately improve the worse than nerf trigger pull on many of the older production models.
      My JHP45 has so many rounds through it I barely notice any real tension.
      The interesting part is micro adjusting the balance after each round to hold the sight picture, because the mag barely weighs anything as it empties.
      It's already a "tactical" cordless drill or concrete retaining block, so squirting some lead weight into the baseplate seems counter intuitive.
      And God forbid you ever have to take a public shooters sight picture.
      But if you do, remember to Calmly and loudly say STOP look over here.
      If they do, continue verbal commands.
      If they won't the trigger goes, smile, say squishy squeeeze, and wait for the flash!
      It's like a custom worn Strassell 3 stage trigger.
      The self polishing old and improved squishy squeeze wall banger.
      Guaranteed on average to go from nigh unmeasurable to 7\7.5lbs in 1k rounds or your ammo's whack.
      {6-9lbs your mileage may vary}
      If it's a jam-o-matic..for the love of MoM {Hi-Point} clean the damn thing, and warranty replace the mags.
      Of course (he says sarcastically) I'm mostly being pedantic, or is it sardonic? 🤔
      I can never remember, It's all so facetious 🤨, I can't keep a straight face 🤣

    Hunting has turned into a rich mans sport. They lease up all the lands and demand exclusive access to their club. They don't even eat the meat. They "donate" the meat out out of the "goodness" of their hearts to hunters for the hungry bulls!t. Others end up throwing the meat away after it's been in their freezers for too long. Frankly, most people don't like the taste of venison. The same is true of duck, goose, and upland bird hunters. I have nothing against people hunting out of need, but I despise sport hunters.

      You get way more than what the price dictates you should.
      They function reliably with good clean properly tuned/ lubed magazines.
      They are way more accurate than you, so get used to the trigger and do your part.
      They are fun to shoot.
      My JHP45 is far more comfortable to shoot than my knuckle cutting glock suck 21

    In all my years I've NEVER heard anyone (who's had a HP _PISTOL_ for long) say it's good.
    Everyone, including some of the well respected gun folks on YT say they suck. (Not the carbines. I actually have a .45 ACP)
    If HP finally got things right? GREAT! But I go by past performance, and trusting my life to a poor performer? Ain't going to happen.

    Its good as a joke. They work until that don't .. it's a range toy only . It would be negligent to use it for anything else
