Christian Mathias Cullen (born 12 February 1976) is a New Zealand former rugby union player. He played most of his rugby at fullback for New Zealand (the All Blacks), for the Hurricanes in the Super 12, and for Manawatu, Wellington and later Munster at provincial level. He was nicknamed the Paekakariki Express and was considered to be one of the most potent running fullbacks rugby has ever seen. With 46 tries scored in 58 tests, Cullen is the 9th-highest try-scorer in international rugby.

I have seen many fullback listS of who is the greatest ! And all of them clearly written by Northern hemisphere “experts” they are a joke with their choices. Cullen is and has always been the best by a country mile ! Some of lists have Gareth Thomas and Mike brown on them and no Andre Joubert, Mils and Matt Burke . It’s frightening

I remember him bringing down Lomu 1 on 1 about 10meters out from the goal line, recovering the ball and heading in the other direction, but his foot just went into touch and he was called back. Would have been magic.

Cully is by far the best full back of all time. What annoys me though, is every video shows his try's. This is NOT what made him great. His defensive work is what really sets him apart from the rest of the contenders. Yet none of the videos posted ever show this, just his glorious tries. If you can, watch him in the whole game scenario and then agree with me.
