I had my gallbladder taken out 12 years ago and have had non-stop trouble every since. I'm 52 years old and look like I'm 9 months pregnant. I'm always uncomfortable and have gained a ton of weight. I also feel a ton of pressure on my right kidney.

I cannot get anyone to even touch me. I was diagnosed with chronic pain after a kidney cancer in which I had a partial nephoretomy. I had a doctor look into my condition and was informed the scar tissue and adhesions had wrapped around the major nerve trunk goining through my pelvis area. The doctors all refuse to do anything for fear of damaging nerves . I deal with chronic pain all the time.

Great information on adhesion barriers. I would also suggest that if someone already has scar tissue/adhesions (and they choose not to have another surgery), there are other conservative options. They should definitely consider Pelvic Physical Therapy (Women's Health Physical Therapy) as a viable treatment to manage/decrease associated effects of adhesions. It works!

I just had major surgery 3 weeks ago small bowel obstruction / recession, with strangulation. I went back a second time they took a cat-scan and said they already I already said they see adhesion. I came here because I am concerned for my friend who is in hospital with adhesions that they don't want to operate on him even though he has been in pain for over a year .. I liked this video at first as it seemed to be just about explaining the adhesions but then focused more on women only .. oh well.

This is not a women’s’ issue Like one of the doctors pointed out. It’s simply a health issue. As someone who suffers from it I think it’s extremely unhelpful to specify it is a women’s’ issue, which it, of course, is not.
Exactly! I came here to seek info for my friend who is a guy so I wasn't happy that the host turned it toward talking about women issues. Oh well still was an informative video.

Taking ox bile tablets after meals reduces weight gain after gallbladder surgery.

I wonder if having a abdominoplasty procedure a risk factor for developing adhensions.

Look into castor oil hot packs for pelvic adhesions. Suppose to resolve issue.

Adheisions don't show up on scans, xrays, etc.
Have you read up on adhesion massage therapy - its massage to break up the tight bands. I believe many people have had some relief with this
How are you now
Mine hurt when I urinate oh my God
Debilitating. Muscle spasms (Charlie horse) in the abdomen. Horrific pain. I wish doctors would automatically use adhesion prevention methods.
