They use a diesel on some trips for dynamic braking, so the brakes on 4014 and cars do not get used so much. My understanding, they are not using a diesel on this tour! We are headed out from South Carolina next week to see her in Missouri
@@vettebecker1 I know about that. I just saw 4014 leaving Cheyenne without a diesel and when I saw this video I just wondered if they 4014 connected to a diesel and continued south on this tour?

Dynamic braking ? What they do 100 years ago for dynamic braking? And cb radios wasn’t around back then
Last I heard was the diesel provides electricity for the other cars because the steam engine couldn’t provide it
