This talk reminds me of a distinction that is made in Vedic spirituality between the mind and the intellect. The mind is considered to be a storehouse of information. It takes in data. The intellect, on the other hand, is considered to be a higher tool. This is what allows a person to take that data and to actually THINK. It's what allows people to apply the information that they have retained. Many people are using the mind, but not the intellect...
I seen a video of you giving reasons why you left America. And I will say as a fellow native of detroit, Michigan that I have seen more multiple brothers like your from detroit that's living in other nations that gave similar reasons for why they left America along with other Americans in general that's living abroad and people like you inspired me to get my passport so it's a matter of circumstances and preparation for my own journey out of this nation that I look forward to exploring in hopes that I can find a country where I will be more appreciated for being me and the good and determined productive human I'm. Thank you as a expat for inspiring me.
Salute to you for your preparation. Yes, there are many countries that will appreciate you for the person that you are. Make sure you have a way to generate income online wherever you go because trying to start a business or work in a foreign country is not the way to go "in my opinion."

I agree...I know a person who is a knowledge-collector, but doesn't know how to apply any theories to her life. Reading all sorts of self-help books and bragging about it, while your life is an unholy mess, is a useless hobby.
Experience helps that mi hermano. I went to college and am not speaking against it but I could just as easily say that college makes you rigid and stiff in your thinking to such a degree that it suppresses your creativity.

The word Knowledge is too broad of a word to wholly say "knowing is not powerful" "knowing is half the battle". The title should be "Memory is not Power" which is still mildly subjective
How many people would watch a video titled, "Memory Is Not Power." How many times in society have you heard people walking around repeating the adage, "Memory Is Power?" In fact no one says that. So we have to title things based upon the familiarity and understanding of the audience. And simply knowing something is not enough as many people "know" that smoking cigarettes causes cancer yet millions of people smoke everyday with the "knowledge" that they could contract cancer. We're still focused on psychology and thus we have to pique the mind of viewers.
@@masteringpsychologynow got it, as for cigarette smokers and cancer, that's not knowledge that's willful ignorance. You must consider the fact that millions HAVE applied that knowledge and have either stopped smoking or never started.
I have met countless amount of students who graduated from universities and are working a meaningless job scrapping for pennies and just barley making it. All that knowledge they have acquired has not been used to further their career.

Knowledge is POTENTIAL power. ACTION is power. Because we all know(have the knowledge) but we don’t always do what we know!

Definitely agreed. Many equate the acquisition to the "action of the info" and that's where the confusion enters.
