Any tips on learning to sing whilst playing the guitar? Practicing is obviously a huge part, but I'd like to know if you've got any methods of improvement!
-Learning to play and sing songs you like helps a lot because you will know them already. -Practice the strumming patterns so eventually they become natural and you won’t have to think about them. -It Sounds silly but just keep doing it don’t stop. I could not see any progress in my music until I watch videos from a year ago and I see how much better I’ve gotten without realizing it just from playing music everyday. I still have a lot to learn tho. As long as you strive to get better eventually you will. -Try to learn new things. For example for a couple months I’d focus primarily on finger picking then I would focus more in depth on my songwriting. I wrote my lyrics separate from my guitar before I was good at it, then I started writing while simultaneously playing chords once I felt comfortable.
