Its one of the reasons i love his abstract music videos; you can just let your mind wander to whatever it wants to think, and everyone is right.

Back when he released Nectar I was going through the late stages of a dying long distance relationship and it’s fucking devastating how close to home Joji’s lyrics can hit. When you try to be kind but dont know how to express it and you are misunderstood by the world around you and so you feel lonely and depressed but also you dont know how to cry either.
The saddest things for empaths like me, and hopefully some can relate. You see peoples emotions so well, and I personally can't do much but wish to comfort and I end up mirroring those emotions. His tears made me cry. You can cope in every way, you can sing, cry, jump, act tough and just look away. But no distraction is a thick enough curtain for the big windows I see in your eyes. I hate seeing these songs distort and change the smiles off others. It strangly hurts so much. Maybe I share those emotions too and I'd know how to feel better but I cant comfort myself, only others. I see that shit, its deep. I feel my chest just getting tighter every time I see tears and their smiles fade.
