From what i have heard was that Agnetha was singing this song with the lights dimmed. and after she finished this beautiful song , she hang up her headphone and walked out of the studio. This is my No 1 ABBA song , it always going straight through my heart each time i hear it,
As a journalist imaginatively added she hung up her headphones walked out of the room solemnly never to come back again.......until decades later on.While her recording the very last Abba song in 1982 (until 2017) Studio engeneer M.Tretow stated that the atmosphere in the studio was so dark and sad that we all felt that was the end of ABBA.Fortunately not forever.
Bjorn( pronounced B yorn) is the guy the who is sitting on the stage and he and Benny(the other guy), were the guys people responsible for those writing and composing those classic songs and Dallas was a American TV series that ran from 1978 to 1991 & this song is very underrated, it was the last song they recorded together until they got back together a few years ago, the women’s voices still sound great even with advancing years.
One of their best with Frida's hauntingly beautiful backing vocals. You will get to know whos who in the comments the more you delve into their catalogue/rabbit hole. The girls are the As the boys are the Bs.
Agnetha🩷 is amazing on this one... and Frida❤ with the 'AAaaaaa's in backing vocals makes me feel goosebumps! . Benny on keys👌! Great song! Good react too. Take care ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
One of their best songs. Amazing. I went to and from work at the same station as in the video as I lived there for some time. And BJÖRN is a guys name. This is Agnetha
Yes i did under a boulder next to a cliff with a bottomless pitt pulling me down. Im glad i finally got the stregnth to pull myself out of that abyss and make it to this dirtball called earth!!! GREATINGS🕳🕳🌏
It just goes to show how transient everything is. Even here in the UK (and Sweden, obviously) 'Dallas' , a weekly hour-long soap concerned with the affairs (more often than not literally) of an oil-rich Texan family, was an absolute TV phenomenon, dominating the cultural conversation. Search "Who shot JR?" for the full rabbit hole.
Agnetha was singing Bjorn was the clean shaven guitar player she was married to. Dallas was a big tv show from 78-91 then for 3 seasons 2012-2014. it's about rich feuding families in dallas texas who deal in oil.the main family live at southfork ranch. the eldest boy is J R Ewing.when he got shot at the end of one of the series it made the papers.everyone talking about who shot him. the later series ended when ratings dropped after Larry Hagman who played J R Ewing and was in the new show passed. it had a well known theme tune.they would split the screen into three and show the cast in the opening titles.
1982 - The last song they recorded together before their re-union 38 years later. Although it wasn't the last song they released ("Under Attack" came after this). By this time Benny & Bjorn were looking to move into musical theatre and this was an experiment along those lines, long form spoken/sung narration. After Abba, Benny & Bjorn developed the musical "Chess" a rather tortuous theatrical experience with some amazing music but a rather difficult and un-engaging storyline. As you have done their last song try their first from 1972 to see the contrast "People Need Love" -They weren't even called "ABBA" then but just their names which was rather cumbersome!
To me, it’s like saying I cannot remember what life was like before I met you. When someone so important and intense comes into your life, it makes the time before seem mundane… also she’s called Agnetha (An ye ta) Bjorn is her ex husband in the group
their last one (until 2021 that is) one of my favorites. hauntingly beautifull, very original, deep all synth arrangement. It is from the early 80ties but the sound is so warm compared to almost all music from that era. Great timeless production. the more you hear it the better it becomes (like most abba songs) so much details
Björn's idea for a theme was "a woman recounting all the dull, ordinary things she "guessed she must have done" the day before she had a highly charged encounter with a man." She began a relationship that would end unhappily: "He has left her, and her life has returned to how it 'must have been' before she met him." It's so clear; I don't get all the fabricated theories people come up with.
This is their last songs 1982 (before 2021) , both couples have divorced and started to go separate lifes and careers. That's why there's new people in this video. Dallas was biggest TV-series in 80's.
@@tommyjensen1943 Remember listening this September 1982 first time with my The singles: first 10 years-collection LP? Looks like as a single came October? 😉 Under attack did came after. I think Cassandra (b-side of single) came too? One of their last songs correctly.
Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing the day after he came is left ambiguous. Dallas was a night time drama on TV along with Dynasty during the 80's.
You have not heard of Dallas? How old you make me feel. It was the series everybody watched. Agnetha had a solo career before ABBA, mostly in Germany. All four were well known in Sweden before they formed ABBA. Agnetha was the most famous.
There's a theory that the narrator of this song isn't actually singing about her lover... but rather about the man who is going to kill her. I know that's super dark, but I've always felt it fit with the ghostly sound.
@@SapphireZucchini-xb3vr That theory is too far-fetched for my taste. Under Attack is about being staked by a 'chasing lover', the lyrics make it clear. This one says nothing about 'him'.
@@robertschatz7781 It doesn't that's why it's so enigmatic. The music on the other hand says a lot. The minor chords, the haunting wailings in the backgroud, Agentha's sad, sorrowful vocals. It is all very dark & depressing despite the lyrics reading like a journal entry. I always take the mood of this song as tragic & dark & it is evident it is not a happy song.
ABBA MASTERPIECE ❤💛💙❤

Frida's opera at 3.45 start - amazing. This song is also amazing. You never get sick of hearing it.
One of their best songs and very underrated

ABBA "The Name Of The Game"
'This is Bjorn'.... errr you have a LOT to learn about this supergroup from the 70's! I 'saw' them in 2022 in London in the theatre they built!

Great song! Good react too.

Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
For some reason this songs almost makes me cry. As if I am anticipating something bad to happen. What a masterpiece!
This song is one the greatest masterpieces ever written in history of music. Absolutely mesmerizing. Love it 100%.
Agree 100%.
Dallas was a 1980s American soap opera that was extremely popular in Europe.
So good
She sings about her ordinary life before she met her ❤ Her name is Agnetha and Björn wrote the song
Gotcha🙏
My favorite song ever
Dallas was an American drama series

Wow, doesn’t it make you feel old when someone has never heard of Dallas 😂😂
Has this guy lived down a mineshaft since he was born?

Its said to be the last song they recorded together.. before the break up.
Dallas is fa very famous tv-series from USA in the 80s

How can I forget when J.R. Ewing was shot? ! Classic!

For ur reference ABBA stands for Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn, AnniFrid. The Bs are the boys and the two As are the girls. Get it?
💯 i have notes just got my new setup and didnt have me but thank you!

I Think Under Attack was the last one just after this one
Under attack was the last one
@tommyjensen1943 ok I thought this one was the last they recorded
GREAT REACTION YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK OUT "HEAD OVER HEELS" ONE THEIR UNDERRATED SONG.
Bjorn is one of the males. This is Agnetha in most of the video. Lmao😂

One of the last songs before the 40 year break...a bit depressed and gloomy
Bjorn is a man's name and also happens to be the singer of the song ex husband. The blonde female singing this song is Agnetha.

One of their most intriguing sounds including the plain Jane, every day vocal infections of Agnetha
OMG Terry, I hope you mean "inflections"!
The song says nothing about the day after he came. There might be no day after.
There were 'days after', but life view for her was forever changed!
Or was she singing to the grim reaper? Is she surrendering to death itself?
I heard one fan theory that the song is about being stalked by a serial killer.
That's what I think, too.

@@EnzFab73 I did not say it is a happy song, obviously it is sad and tragic, but it can be just about death, not a killer.
