I have always struggled to enjoy the glassy pluck sounds that FM is synonymous with . The pad sounds in this video have changed my mind on FM-absolutely brilliant!

I want to hear this alongside my 2 Yamaha TX-81Z's!

You and me both! You the synth, and me the Native!

So good to discover this today Josh. I got Opsix Native just last week, as I absolutely loved its shimmery ambience, and am looking forward to exploring it further with these sounds.

Incredibly good. Man, you make it hard. I thought the Modwave would be king. I think for live tweaking it might be better still, with the touchpad and macros, and a simpler basic sound architecture. But these here, they go deep. To the fine structure of the sound. FM. Wow.

Modwave is much darker once you get its grips on and can go into very unexplored areas of sinister.
This one the op6 tho is a sound designers dream

There's a few korgs or deepmind. I want to buy first synth but can't decide since I don't know what features I want or where to start.

I think the Opsix is best when treated as a virtual analog with fm and additive abilities. Ive heard some virtual analog presets created for this machine and they really show the versatility f the Opsix. These sounds are a bit too FM metallic for my tastes. But I'm sure many will love these :)

Opsix is best used as an FM synth and not as a "subtractive wannabe", in my opinion, otherwise you are far better served by a Minilogue, Mininova, etc. There's really no point in FM otherwise, in my opinion.

@@Jason75913 well you would wrong. This synth is more than an fm synth. I hav some of th synths you mention and th opsix is no less capable of making deep rich analogue textures. Silly not to use a machine to its fullest capabilities.

    • @Jason75913

@@GrootsieTheDog I'd care for the subtractive tripe if I had no other synth but the Opsix, but most of us looking at or buying Opsixes do have much better options on hand for that. I think it is silly to make much use of an instrument's weak or redundant features, its strengths worth capitalizing on are what give it its true worth depending on the end user. Wavestate can do drums and whole grooves, but it pales in comparison to drum machines, proper grooveboxes, and workstation keyboards like Kronos, Krome, or FA by a massive margin.
I also disapprove of the ROMpler-y factory patch selection Korg put into the Opsix, really not the best showcase at all for the instrument, though is a non-issue for me.

Not a VST, but software. And a VST version is now available.

Hey wierd request but do you think you could do some sounds in the same vibe as Mac Miller's album Circles? Pls reply lol and if you can do it would you release a few tweakable patches? If not it's cool I just wanna know if it's capable lol I'm still learning to use this thing anyways thanks these sounds are sick
