    In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

    I was curious about this as we might be moving to Oslo because of my husband getting a Job offer there. We find our city elite is a bit big to go around some of the shops with. So we're looking for an extra stroller, a bit better for shopping (narrow) in small grocery stores . Yet we want large enough wheels to handle a Litle snow and ice. I dont know if we should go midsize or Cadillac, we have no car. The problem with Cadillac strollers are that they tend to be expensive and we dont want to spend to much cash on a second stroller

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome to Oslo :) Totally get it. Maybe wait for the Lynx (only around 6000kr with just a seat)?

    • @kakefyll

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo That looks like a good option actually, the fox is at least a good stroller but obcenely priced for a second stroller. Do you know when its coming? Ive been looking at every single stroller there is it feels like and lynx seems to be a top choice for a bit more of a neat stroller, that or the nxt 60 but the lynx seem to have a larger basket, also I prefer bugaboos canopys

    Thank you for the review!!! We were between this and the Cruz so really appreciated your summary recommendation at the end. What are your thoughts about the new Cruz coming in 2020 which will have bigger wheels and added suspension? Thanks in advance 🤗

    @BarnevognverkstedNo i'm very sorry for my english, now I have a big problem with balios.. I accidentally pressed the buttons when I was taking the stroller apart. Now the right latch does not work, so the handlebar does not lock in the highest position. something is wrong inside the stroller folding mechanism. how can i fix it up?😳🙈

    I’m looking for a lightweight, easy to fold, all terrain (big wheels with suspension) stroller to buy. Can you please recommend me any? Someone is selling this Balios for 100€ but after seeing this video, the fold is not the best. Also not the lightest but for that price I considered it anyways

  • @dattaaritra

    Possible to share reviews on the Joie Versatrax esp the mechanical aspects. The features and weight capacity are very similar to the Balios S. I don’t see any other channel doing this kind of in-depth technical analysis so would be really helpful if you could review it. Actually I couldn’t find any reviews for Joie on your page knowing that it’s a British brand and hugely popular here in Singapore. Thx in advance!

    Thank you so much for your review, especially from a mechanics perspective. You compared Balios S with Stokke Beat in the end. But how about with Stokke Scoot? Hope to hear your opinion. For us, we care more on wheels and their suspension system. Thanks! BTW, have you tried Mockingbird, which is also in this price range?

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say that the Scoot is definitely sturdier than the Balios. But if you're looking for a good small-sized daily model with a reversible seat, then my top pick at the moment is the Joolz Hub. You can see our review here: th-cam.com/video/iiwS8gHHIig/w-d-xo.html

    Can you tell, is it ok, that the handle bar of this stroller moves from side to side. It looks like very rickety, like used many years. I've heard that it's ok for balios, and priam. So there is a give in the chassis. It's hard for me to explain it in english, but in russian what I mean - рама люфтит, ручка люфтит во все стороны, коляска расшатанная, как будто ее очень долго катали...

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If this is a used model that you're considering, then I would skip it - the balios is very much a use for 1 child and throw away model. The Priam is a bit stronger, but still, it does get quite loose as well. If you're looking for a strong model, the Balios isn't it, unfortunately. :)

    Hello there! I wonder what do you think of the brand new and improved Balios s LUX model, have you had chance to test or review it in any way and can you recommend it over the Balios S only? It's in my shortlist and it seems perfect (the LUX model, improved over this older one) but I would love to know the opinion of a professional.

    Hi everybody,
    There's been a lot of talk lately about 'Greenwashing,' which is the process by which businesses promote their products as 'sustainable', 'eco-friendly' and so on, while in actual fact, their manufacturing processes and business models clearly show this to be nothing more than a marketing ploy. As soon as I heard about this concept (and even that several major companies have been penalized for it), I realized that this practice really defines the approach of virtually every major manufacturer in the stroller industry. If you'd be interested in reading more about this, please check out our article: 'Rampant Greenwashing in the Stroller Industry,' here: www.patreon.com/posts/rampant-in-38755846

    Wonderful review! The more I compared strollers in the same category, the more I the Balios S seemed like the best option. Now I wonder which would be preferable if $$$ is not an issue. I just think the Fox or the Vista are too big.

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Fox is actually smaller and lighter then it looks (they've just marketed it as a big brother to the Cameleon):
      Balios - 41x60x75cm (folded with seat attached), weight: 11.2kg
      Fox - 46x60x88cm (folded size with seat attached, much smaller if you detach it), weight: 9.9kg

    Great review, subscribed even though I know I won't need to watch your videos in couple of months :) This level of information needs to be acknowledged so, well done sir!
    I agree with Cybex pricing comments, but 2 days ago I have seen a discount which made me wonder. £700 (from £1340, yes I know...) for Priam 2019 frame and 2018 lux seat, cot, car seat bundle. Do you believe this discount makes it "acceptable"?

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks very much, we really appreciate it :) The Priam is ok, but engineering-wise I'd much rather have a Bugaboo Fox, which will fulfill and surpass everything the priam has to offer except for the folding seat, so it really comes down to a price comparison between those two, imo (the Lynx will be coming out soon as well which so far looks even better and cheaper than the Fox). :)

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo Thank you for the fast response! Yes I agree from what I have observed from your reviews. I will wait for the Black Friday deals and see what happens. With current prices Bugaboo Fox with all items above will cost more than £1100 it seems.

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo thanks, that's super helpful! i'm looking for the following in a stroller: comfort for baby (she's 1.5y, regular size), big wheels (we are outdoorsy people), preferably view to mom and view to street, easy to fold and in 1 piece. We have a cosatto to&fro that's beautiful, but terrible from any other point of view (especially, my baby sits terribly in it, she sits in the straps, and not her behind). and i have a quinny yezz air for travel that i absolutely love. thanks, any advice is highly appreciate it :)

      Emmaljunga NXT strollers would probably fit these conditions well (at least the 60 and the 90), if you're looking for something smaller, then the Joolz Hub might also work well for you. The Bugaboo Fox is really nice too, but is slightly more fiddly to fold and the seat sticks out a little bit even though it does fold with it attached :)

    why are you so against all cybex strollers??

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the Mios (and the Priam is decent as well, when not considering the price), but other than this, my main beefs with Cybex are that the quality (durability in particular) of manufacture for their 'gold-line' models is poor, their 'platinum' models are not backed up by a guarantee or after-sales service commitment that reflects the price, and they (or rather their parent company: GB International) are very aggressive at pushing other companies out of regional markets. All of which is both bad for the progress of the industry towards better designs, and bad for the environment. If you're interested, I wrote an article on Cybex, that you can find here: www.patreon.com/posts/37438183
