We have to revisit this estate. The circle horse training was so interesting. I love meeting the families of these manors. They are so down to earth and amazing historians of their family histories. Just like you and Luke, they use all of their resources to keep the property going. You all should be commended for your tireless efforts!
Once again, Julie you knock it out of the Park. Your enthusiasm for the owners work, the managers and tradesmen involved in owning 'running and restoring these beautiful projects is wonderful. You allow them to shine and as well give the projects much needed exposure. I think the cows can read your Zen energy. Always love to see you laugh and smile.
Some cows have been known to do Yoga when Julie's back is turned😉🐂🐮🐄🐃😊in the past! The round building is amazing (as they all are), but how clever to run the horses in a space fashioned in such a manner!🐎🐎
I don't envy the amount of work that the Brudenell Family have on their hands in restoring this beautiful Estate to its former glory and it is fantastic to see that they are cracking on with it and bringing it sympathetically into the 21st Century. I can't wait to see the results of the restoration of the old riding school. Please say that you intend to do follow-up visits both during and after restoration.
Love the toast rack on the breakfast table. I'm so pleased (with myself) when I saw the round open building, I immediately thought horses. Not too pleased as I didn't get riding school, I thought training. Great vlog Julie, hope you keep us appraised of the progress of the work.
I visited some years ago, and I remember being shown round by Marion Brudenell . She came out to greet our group in the courtyard and she was obviously an amazing personality, I don’t think I would ever forget her. She gave us a fascinating and dynamic tour of the house.
Thank You Guys!)) Great Job putting all of this together!))) Great Eye Luke(if it’s you behind the camera)of getting the incredible nature shots. They can use the flower fields for the bride and groom photo shoots also. I LOve the idea for the horse riding ring being used for the markets etc. but when it’s not being used for that, I bet people would pay good money(which most people that can afford horses have)to get the unique experience of riding their horse in The Only And Historic Riding Ring In England. I would if I had a horse.)))lol Lots of Love from across the pond Jacqueline
I love those little cottages! I would live in one of those happily! Lovely. That wooded area is so beautiful for a wedding. The pictures there would come out amazing.
Julie, this is just magical. I work with historic tile and stone, and it was so fascinating seeing the same chipping away at concrete that I do on the daily!
I LOVE this home! Great job with the ongoing restoration projects! The breakfast room with the stained glass🥰 beautiful! And the training ring….I love the idea of it becoming a seasonal market….to steal Julie’s phrase….”brilliant!”❤
I would have liked to see the behemoth of a boiler the owners put in to heat the whole place. I think it is wonderful they did that to save the books. Maybe we will have a re-visit to Deenes, i hope so!🤞🤞
I have visited the park several years ago and push shown around by Marion Prudenville. She came out to greatest in the courtyard and I will never forget meeting her and enjoying her guided tour of the house. She was an amazing personality with a strong interest in all the beautiful things in the house
Fantastic show. I would love to visit so very much...these are my ancestors....I believe distant cousins. I am researching my ancestry and find it fascinating. 😁❤️🍁🇨🇦
Hi Julie, Would be great to see a video on how your husband protects his cashmere from moths!! Moths have defeated me and I think I have used every thing available in shops plus lavender. May be a video on protecting and prolonging life of good quality clothes. Thank you. Saima
Deene Park is amazing! Loved seeing the updates , rewilding, and that circle building plan for markets and such is ‘brilliant’, as Julie says. Looking forward to the next Deene Park vlog! Thanks for taking us to these spectacular places. ❤
In the video he stated it was before he took over the home. I was able to find their website and it said the ballroom wasn't part of the original house. It was added on. I believe he might have hinted that it felt out of place in the house. The website states it was "irregular."
Not confident keeping the thistle is a good idea. Where we live in the western US it is an invasive plant reaching 7' - 8' tall with a multi-stem base at least as wide. The thorns are terrible. I'm trying to rid my property of these weeds wanting to plant native grasses in the area instead.
I love all your videos! The history, the gardens, the attics are just wonderful. What a great revenue idea of the old riding school space to be used for markets, antique sales, flower shows etc. As Julie says, “Brilliant!” Thanks for all the hard work in sharing these great mansions. I greatly appreciate it. Mariaknits27 💃🏻💕

Your enthusiasm is infectious; but it is your respect for the history of British is inspiring

I agree, we need to go back!!

Wow, thank you!
Awesome AVJulie!!! So nice to see another Lady who knows how to roll up her sleeves!!!!****
Julie thank you so much for showing us the beautiful lands of England. That riding ring is Spectacular In the market idea superb

I see the Ford name on your ride. You should get a sponsorship. I'm surprised they have them there, and that they work so well on the parkland.
The moment I saw that riding school building, I thought it was perfect for a market of some kind.
Thank you so much for asking questions about the repair material being used. As a historic home owner, these details are invaluable. Thank you!
How delightful, thank you.
That is one fine hay pasture at Deene Park. A stunning sight! ❤

This spring could you please teach us to play cricket? I've always wanted to learn the rules

That’s what happens when you stop using fertilizer aka harmful chemicals. Nature start thriving. Loved it.
Wonderful! Exactly the sort of episode I enjoy; a beautiful stately home, complete with sprawling estate, lush gardens, and historical oddities.

Fascinating! I'm anxious for the next segment on Dean Park. Thank you-
That round manor remembers me the Hakka houses in china
Oh my the China and what an amazing warm lovely woman to share with you .. I just want to move in and stay forever!!!
Ive had a horsehair mattress for about ten years, from a company nearish to you called Greenfibres based in Totness.
Julie, did you ascertain why the ballroom was demolished? Was it an economic/maintenance decision? Seems a shame.
In the video he stated it was before he took over the home. I was able to find their website and it said the ballroom wasn't part of the original house. It was added on. I believe he might have hinted that it felt out of place in the house. The website states it was "irregular."
In your defense, Julie, that one cow up front WAS giving you some serious side-eye… 😂
the fear of cows still funny

One day when I'm rich, I'm building a covered round pen!

Oh it’s a screw driver! I love all you videos btw!
How can they ensure to continue the estate when combined With the huge death estate taxes?
Too bad they couldn’t board horses and use that school for horse training.
Waiting for next episode.....
