    Yeah but what if you want to OPEN your windows and still have privacy???

    If you love huge windows, WHY WOULD YOU BLOCK THEM OUT?
    There are better alternatives:
    1) heat-reflective coatings which ALSO give a one way mirror effect. Some block only 15% of light.
    2) bird safe (vertical) white patterns on a clear or lightly frosted film. Our library has this with a birch forest pattern
    3) spray on frosting spray.

      Not to mention semi-sheer curtains/drapes or horizontal blinds with curtains/drapes to open or close, or Roman blinds...there a a whole lot of options besides the laminate thing Taniya did. Even if you wanted to completely cover a window and never let the outside view in, there are options that are much easier than this laminate treatment and look great too.

      That's what I did with mine the one way effect is the way to go right on amazon and it's cheaper. From outside you cant see anything.

    Really? what a terrible idea - completely covering the windows so that they can't be used. I thought you were going to show several ways to make glass opaque. During the last 20 seconds, another method is brought up (a film), but isn't shown. Perhaps just the title of this video is awful. I suppose the technique used here may be okay if you don't want windows at all, but can't afford to wall them up. I don't know. As others have pointed out, this seems like a parody video.

    Oh, my...I have a sunroom and wanted privacy, so I got some long muslin curtains and hung them all the way around. They're on panels, so at anytime, I can push part of them aside to let more sun in. I'm not sure why you would want to cover up the glass like the lady above did...

    I like that designer, the wall was great, but was the question answered? I was thinking people may still want to have access to the large windows. Maybe!?!

    How to block your access for fire escape so you can burn the hell up in a fire. DO NOT DO THIS!!

  • @SophieMia806
    @SophieMia806 ปีที่แล้ว

    This seems like a good enough idea for this particular use, which is the privacy screens between the two green rooms. (Why would you put windows between different green rooms, though?) But for everyday use on home windows, it's not very practical. You're blocking light permanently, you're blocking a potential fire emergency exit, and you can't look out the window.

    Good grief. I think I’m looking for a lower level project, less expensive. And I’m not trying to block the view either. There’s simpler strategies. I am thinking window film. Window privacy tint film!
