We have a bunch of new Skyscrapers that will be going up along Graham Ave within the two years (the road parallel to Portage on your right in this video a block over). A new 40 floor building above Winnipeg Square at the corner of Graham & Main. A new 44 floor building at Graham and Smith St, plus 3 new buildings as part of the new "True North Square" across from the MTS Centre at Graham and Hargrave. Basically True North Square is going to be Winnipeg's version of Youge-Dundas Square or Times Square.
Nicely chosen soundtrack for what appeared to be a pretty laid back drive into the heart of the city. Excellent work on the signs as always. Hoping to get up there one day; place looks pretty neat, especially considering what surrounds it...which is a whole lot of nothing, lol. Awesome video!
Thanks Brent. You get the sense that there's a regional effort to make this city prosper despite the surrounding resources. Manitoba even has policies in place to keep things in downtown. The city keeps growing too - unlike Thunder Bay.
Awesome job eluko79. Never would I have thought you'd make video of my home city :-D All your facts are correct! I see you must have recorded this very recently as all the new condo's behind Alt Hotel are complete.
Sounds cool. I'd be happy to help. On a side note, there's a comment above regarding the flashing green arrows. Do you know what the rules are behind them? Does one have right of way? Are there still any solid green arrows around? Thanks.
a flashing green (known as Advanced Green) light signals permission for a left turn before the opposing traffic is allowed to enter the intersection, i.e., oncoming traffic is facing a RED light. ... The flashing light may be a "full" green, or a green left arrow, both meaning the same thing.
I'm born in Edmonton and for 38 yrs years I've been east of Alberta. Tha was interesting to watch. I bet I could live there considering how boring some ppl say it is......currently in Vancouver lol
eluko79 yes it would be helpful if Manitoba highway 75 south of Winnjpeg were upgraded to the same standards as Interstste-29, which it directly connects to.
Is it a bad thing at all if I'm hoping that they decide to temporarily rip out the entire median and temporarily close one lane to dig a freeway trench on at least one end of the city???
There's a weird, anti-freeway culture here in Winnipeg. We can't even get the city to make The Perimeter highway a proper freeway (and it was supposed to be one), but they put up lights everywhere at the last minute. Anytime someone wants direct access the city says, "Sure go ahead and build a driveway and connect it right to that expressway".
Beautiful video and excellent graphics! I like it!

Really enjoyed the ride, this was a good one Luke
Bravo! great return, and winnipeg looks like a nice well kept town!
Thanks! I noticed this as well. Friendly people too.
You went to Winnipeg in September, I went back to Victoria, BC in early October... adventurers we are huh? Hopefully you'll have more?
I like to explore whenever I get the chance. I might have another Winnipeg video I can put together once I get the footage in order.
Great video! I love the ones you've done of Minneapolis and you did a wonderful one of Winnipeg!
Thank you!
Enjoyed the ride I've always wanted to go to Canada.
Thanks! It's a fun and friendly place for sure!
Good music for this drive. It gets me a good feel of the video.
😀
Great video !! Thanks for the uploading
That's an awesome place. :) Thanks for making this video!
Great video! Can't wait for more footage from Canada!
Thanks!

Thanks Phil! I had to watch your take on it just to be sure I didn't miss anything. Love your vids btw!

Cool video! Would love to go to Winnipeg someday to catch a game at MTS Centre to catch a Wild-Jets game.
I know it is kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released series online ?
@Casey Reid flixportal =)
@Giovanni Elliot Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :D Appreciate it!!
@Casey Reid No problem xD
Nice! traffic signal timing seems to be reasonably good. It compensates for the lack of freeways.
yeah we have a lot of wide boulevard (non-freeway) roads in Winnipeg like Portage Ave, Main St, Broadway, Notre Dame, Henderson, Pembina, Fermor, etc.
I noticed this as well. There's a few places south of town where an overpass sure would be nice though.

I was just in Winnipeg...lol back in mid August
Looks nice! Are you going to make more Canada videos?
Thanks. I might have one more that I'll upload eventually. I was only up there for a couple days.
Great video. Ever since you filmed Kansas City I've been a fan of your videos. Will you be uploading more frequently?
Thanks! Ive got a few new routes in the works but it's been busy lately.
Great work!
Thank you!
Nice video! Is it just me or were those green lights flashing?
J & J Across the USA yes, the turning lights do flash. I know that because I live in Winnipeg.
You went there.
Also love north into city route
Good Job
Is this your first highway driving video in Canada?
Yep. Second time here, first time filming.
eluko79 Cool! Love your vids by the way! :)
+eluko79 Also can you make the next vid being Canada 17 to Interstate 75 please. :)

Someone named 18Keithb is stealing your freeway videos and uploading them on his TH-cam channel.
