Dude, this is not the Texans or 2018. This is obviously a culture change from top to bottom. Unlike in 2018, the cancer that was Steve Keim is gone, but his stink lingers with burner phones, lawsuits etc. We need this year to finally excise the demons of the last 10 years of terrible drafting and albatross veteran contracts. As a lifelong cardinals fan, I 100% believe that the plan is not to fire Gannon if the season is truly a fire in the dumpster, but one where we get Kyler back on the field to see if he can work with the new staff and scheme- or move on and start truly fresh in every single position in the desert in 2024. The national media has fed this narrative because they honestly are freaking out that one of the most hyped Number one overall picks since Andrew Luck might "end up" in Arizona. This story starts and ends with Caleb Williams, not the Cardinals 2023 season.
Boy,Cardinals sure do get A LOT publicity for being a “bad” team. I never seen a “bad” team being talked about this much! From people like Florio declaring “Cardinals are tanking” before a single game being played to people losing their minds over Colt McCoy getting cut😂 Colt fkn McCoy!!! The guy who can’t throw past 4 yards IS the reason Cardinals are tanking!? Look dummies, it’s a rebuild DONE THE RIGHT WAY!
This guy shits on the cardinals pretty consistently, whole media does. We’re going to be awful but releasing colt mccoy should not be seen as a tanking move 😂
Yeah bro that’s called a tank. Also other terrible teams got lots of press in the past like the Texans last year and the Jaguars a couple years ago. Y’all aren’t special 😂😂😂
@@MrImaghost Nothing I said was false. You can literally watch sports talking heads last summer and spring talking about the Texans right here on TH-cam. Especially after the draft when they didn’t swing on a QB. They did the same thing the year before the Jags got Lawrence. They got even MORE media attention with the urban meyer situation. These are unequivocal facts lol. The cardinals releasing their veteran back up when their starter is injured is a TANK MOVE. Because you know damn well that coaching staff and front office is not trying to win with Tune and Dobbs ☠️☠️
Tell me you don't fallow the Cardinals, with out telling me you don't fallow the Cardinals. You didn't even mention that this is the first time in 20 years we have an external hire for GM. Everything else has been internal promotion so the same junk every time. Steve Keim was probably the worst drafting GM ever. His plan to build teams was to get a splash signing here and there which doesn't work. It's too expensive so you have zero depth. We were literally signing guys off the street to play last year when starters went down. Are we going to win many games this year? nope. But at least we'll get to see young guys get playing time and grow the roster next draft with more rookies. Our roster last year was expensive and old, now it's cheap and young. Also Kyler isn't a bust, rookie of the year, 2x pro bowler. He had a down year last year and got hurt on a bad roster with bad play calling.
Not sure how they can be the worst team ever in history when they haven't played a single game yet. Colt McCoy apparently would have led the team to the playoffs if he was on the team, even though he is still a free agent weeks after being released. Integrity seems to be missing in sports media 2023.
