its funny that ohmega makes fun of the protoss for being slow, and at the same time hordes 1200 resources at the 5 minute mark because he was microing a cyclone
I still don't know how the race with just as much complex micro maneuvers as Terran is supposed to be easy. Protoss have a lot of tools, but they're highly skill dependent. There's a reason lower ladder don't build High Templars and usually fail at massing Stalkers. Strong but costly units in lower number means every unit lost hurts that much more. People feel like they're "cheese" because they're supposed to be unorthodox playstyles. I'd like to see people fighting T'au or Eldar in Dawn of War, they're basically protoss equivalents. Trickery, high tech high power, a lot of clever ways to get at you. Eldar was the first time I ever raged at a strategy game AI. And Dawn of War is FAR less forgiving if you mess up the macro game and micro basically means nothing there, which seems to be most Terrans' problem. They either hunker down on 2-3 base and wait for you to go to them, or they keep trying to do ridiculous harasses while neglecting their own economy. Sure they can micro a reaper to juke a zealot around the entire base flawlessly, but what's the point if you don't get ahead because of it? You do harass to get a lead in economy, not to annoy your opponent as funny as it might be.
"Let me know if you guys remember seeing this name" well that's my call to action, time to binge the whole salt mines again. Also, that Voidboy play was actually big. Hitting with the marine tank to bait the battlecruiser jump back to base and wreck them with vikings outside of widow mine range was chef's kiss perfect!
All done with the marathon. So PiG's memory is insane, there actually was a Gary way back when, or rather a Garryrage (th-cam.com/video/QIEK9JQGx6I/w-d-xo.html), not sure if there's any relation. There were also a few honorable mentions: Depot Gary was one, and then there was this Gary in th-cam.com/video/3oJWEAnOt_M/w-d-xo.html
I love how PiG, instead of straight up just making fun of angry players, is also saying "I've been there, I've made those mistakes and I am still learning". Making his videos more of a community thing than a vulgar roast, brigning Starcraft players together instead of encouraging hate and unuseful animosity. Great job and thank you!
I'd rather have those players banned than faking excuses for them. I don't encourage hate but I don't justify their hate either. Both are kinda the same. Not reacting or "understanding why they do that" is the same as encouraging them to continue shittalking. They should be banned so we can all move along.
@@Skorpyotnt Yeah, I understand what you mean and I agree encouraging bad behaviors is not the way. I don't think "understanding where this come" is encouraging hate at all. This is hilarious - I sent in my game (along with after-game text screenshots) after playing against Ohmmeggaa last week too! He started flaming me in the game 30 seconds in for playing protoss. He was mad I said "glhf" because how could he possibly have fun playing against a Protoss
Sounds like someone who’s living a tortured life and needs to quit SC2 immediately. Probably hard stuck and hating the game but playing all the time, that’s usually how flamers happen
I think Gary has a bucket. As far as the Blue ribbon goes, the answer to that one can be a few things: Blue Ribbon was actually a compliment, meaning he won first prize for winning the game. It’s also an ice cream in the US, so he might be calling his opponent sweet.
As a WoW player that has played since day 1 of vanilla, I do know people that actually did have piss bottles. I was in a hardcore raid guild in WOTLK and cata as main tank (I was still in school so I got a little leniency about having to play, but still was putting in minimal 4hrs a day). I personally just held it. We actually had a healer in our guild "accidently" mess up and die so they could run to the bathroom.
Pretty sure the blue ribbon thing is a reference to how everyone gets a participation award, normally it is a blue ribbon for like 4th place and beyond.
That Gary V Voidboy match was certainly a match. Lots of weird plays of both sides. Both players did some bad and some good choices. But still a fantastic watch.
Pig I'm a protoss player trying to learn T and watch your T b2gm. I go on the ladder all excited to practice my terran bio builds. Then I get 3 mirror matches with proxy rax marines or reapers my spirits get crushed and I go back to playing protoss where I feel more comfortable lmao I make an attempt with a good attitude every day though. Game is so frustrating and fun at the same time lol
Honestly, I’m no pig, but in ladder early scouting and some proxy scouting will win you more games than you’ll lose. If you take pigs advice tho, you shouldn’t be striving to win on ladder but learning anyways
I love that proxy double Robo Build. 2 Stalker, Immortal, Prism - 2 Immortal, Pylon, 2 Immortal, Pylon, etc. You can do some fancy Prism-Micro even with low APM. I understand Terrans get angry, but this is so much fun!
It's amazing how these players manage to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. If Gary teleported that BC onto the mineral line, could have killed so many more scvs without warning. With a second one could've probably denied the natural as well. I had a very similar TvT, where I did a BC opener, and the opponent did the same thing (he had mass marines, and moved scvs to the naturan and started to built turrets when the BC showed up).
1st storm - nice aim, but terran gets out fast. 2nd storm - bit of a miss on moving targets 3rd storm - terran was too busy typing rage, so ate a maelstrom of fatality! - and we're all just LOVING these examples of rage karma!
20:46 omg, that caught me off guard. I was eating fried potatoes and almost died of choking after reading Gary's answer to glhf. The level of arrogance of Gary is insane. Pretty sure I'd pause the game for a minute to laugh if someone wrote something similar to me.
Terrans thinking they are what SC is supposed to be (based on overmicroing for the sweatiest most tryhard race while having no proper macro behind it) are like a longhaired teenage metal guitarist with terrible acne who's so proud of covering Dragonforce in mom's basement while he can't get a single note clean
I understand that the blue ribbon comment was probably supposed to be a reference to participation prizes, but where? Everywhere I’ve seen uses red or white if they have a solid color for participation awards. In the States a Blue ribbon is (at least normally) first place. Sorry I’m late. Sorry if there’s a better version, but I scrolled down a bit and didn’t see one so thought I’d drop it 😅😅
