20:02 behind that metal door, they store the old jungle gym/playground. It is a small room, totally intact playground. Lots of memories from my childhood. I went in there once, but they've since locked it from the inside

This is really good footage a of what is likely the last year of Greenspoint mall.
This mall really deteriorated fast. I remember watching a facebook live of a news anchor walking around in the mall in 2020 and it was in okay shape back then.

Worked there and shopped there in the 70/80s, Wouldn't fly over it in a Gun Ship now. It should be converted into a Correctional facility./ JAIL Plenty of Local customers.

Back in the early 80s, when Atari released Pac-Man for the 2600, my dad had to drive all the way across Houston to the Sears store at Greens point to get a copy as it was sold out everywhere else. I was super happy until I got home and played it. Never went back to that mall again.

How were you able to get there with security? I was able to go into the wing with the movie theater, but there was a lot of activity with shipments and someone moving things through the mall. The food court barricade was also being watched by a guard

@@MnemonicHeadTrip wait when was that? I have never seen security guards or had problems with exploring the mall. Maybe it was just a slow day and I got lucky. It was probably like a Tuesday around 6pm. But even last year and the year before when I explored I’d never seen any security

@@jamilet444 it was around 5 months ago so maybe I just went at a bad time. He was super rude to me and questioned why I was looking around and told me “it’s just a mall.” I only saw the outside of the movie theater inside of the mall, I didn’t go into any employee tunnels because there were shipments of some kind being moved around. Is there a way to get into the main part of the mall besides the public entrance? It looks like the door was just open to one of the department stores in this video, but I don’t think it connects to the rest of the building. Someone also mentioned that you can supposedly get in through the roof, and I did see open doors on the roof with google maps so

    • @nationdecay

@MnemonicHeadTrip you have to go in through the abandoned Macys with the open door in the back and then go on the roof. The entrance into the mall is barricaded off
