Thank you for these videos. I battle depression and watching your videos reminds me of God's beautiful creation and how to stop and take it in. You are a blessing and I appreciate you. Praying for you and your wife and baby. Merry Christmas. God bless you!
Enjoyed your video. Now Dec 2023 is not far away. This December you have been blessed with a precious little one. Thank you for sharing your Tiny cabin experiences with us. They are comforting moments.
I love this!! Born and raised in MN but moved to GA a few years ago. Totally feeling homesick and stumbled across your video. The sound of your footsteps in the snow was incredible! I could literally smell the cool winter air. Thanks for bringing me home for a moment. ❤❤
@@TinyCabinLife prayers🙏 to your family and soon 2 b baby! My oldest son and daughter in law live in the cities. Most of our kids moved to MN. I love the values that are placed on family and community. Thank you for sharing.
Riley & Ellie! Double Yay! 😃 The Blizzard you experienced in Minnesota is about to find its way here in Michigan. What a way to start the Holiday Season! The homemade wreath you made inside the cabin was so cool looking. I bet it smelled so fresh and piney. You have a blessed Christmas Jack, Riley, and Ellie. 🙏 So excited anticipating the arrival of the newest family member. 😇
Beautiful video! Nothing better than a get away close to home but far enough to enjoy another vibe. Pardon my amusement with the snoring! Very cute. This s was so enjoyable. Thanks. 🙏
I only just discovered your channel a week or so ago and love the places you go and the beautiful scenery. I'm trying to catch up on some of your older videos and I came across this one. I love the wreath you made and am glad Riley was able to be there. Y'all have a blessed time together and stay safe and warm 😊 Thanks for the awesome video 😊
My mom always made our holiday wreath; it was a work of love and beauty every year. My father would place a spotlight for it. It was AMAZING & I miss it & them so much. 💔 A little piece of paradise in the burbs is a luxury- enjoy!!
No matter how old anyone gets, nothing hits the spot like hot cocoa. It’s the simple things in life that matters. During Christmas we experimented with Eggnog, it was good
Another great video! It's about two months before Christmas, here, and the cold weather is definitely on the way! Even though I live in Southern California, it's in the San Bernardino mountains above 6,000 feet. We usually average 5-6 feet of snow per year, but this past season we received an astounding 27 feet! It was all over the national news. I think I'd rather only shovel 5-6 feet this coming winter. 😮 Blessings to you, Riley, Olivia and Ellie.
So cool that you’re up in the mountains! You know, I met Rylie when she was living in riverside and I was in Redondo Beach. We know those mountains well! 🙌🏽
Good work in eliminating any potential fume risks from the galvanised steel, your respiratory system, brain and tissue will be ever so appreciative! Seeing stoves and stovepipes made of galvanised steel always makes me wonder if those using them know what they're doing. Its really lovely to see you respect and protect your health like this.
What a great time you guys shared. Thank you. I wish I had a tiny cabin so close to my home, that is so cool and it still has such a wilderness around it. Awesome!!!
Ever consider doing one of those nature "sleep" videos...with the sounds of the forest, snow, crackling fire, to help people fall asleep? There are several TH-cam videos and podcasts that I go-to help me sleep and they work!! 🏕️🦉🦌🌠🌌🦊🦝✌️
I am local to you and it is so fun to know the storms you speak of! I hope you are staying warm in this current cold snap. Really enjoying your peaceful videos.
Thanks for sharing a great video with us. Was extra special to see Ellie again. Can't believe she didn't run after the deer. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas season! And as always give that pooch a kiss from me 😉
Looks like you could use a table or counter top thing. There's plenty of space on the wall across from the fireplace and next to the bed. Get yourself a one of those fold down ironing boards (or a board with 2 hinges) and pesto, now you got a dining room/kitchen counter/game/ table/night stand. And when you're done, just lift and latch and it's outta the way. ✌️
Such a great cabin! Just beautiful. Thanks for showing how to make a wreath. Never heard of prompt cards but want to get some now. Your videos are so relaxing and make me so happy ❤
I really enjoyed watching this video, and seeing how much you love your dog..Is very sweet. I have a good feeling that you will both be wonderful parents to the bundle of joy on the way..The A frame house is magical, You may have to do a little bump out to it, to make a place for the little one..God Bless!
Hey, Jack & Riley! Merry Christmas to you from blustery Mishawaka, IN. I've watched a number of your videos this week to relax at bedtime and have also subscribed to your channel. I've kept watching because you make building and furnishing your tiny cabins look easy when I know it's not; because I was a long-ago Boy Scout who remembers camping out fondly; because I love dogs; because I have an ever-since-college-days friend and biblical Hebrew scholar in my social circle who's originally from Mound, MN; and because I'm a home body who it does good to take in some scenic countryside even if it's seen secondhand. I once spent two days in Eden Prairie for a music notation software training session, and later spent three days in Rochester to be seen at Mayo Clinic, but that's my entire firsthand experience of Minnesota. And unlike my Hebrew scholar friend, I'm not even of Norwegian ancestry. How-to videos like yours are also valuable in terms of the hard times I think our country is probably soon to experience. I can write a symphony--and I just finished one this year in fact--but I cannot build a liveable shelter in the great outdoors like you can. I bought myself a butane camp stove last year to have on hand for emergencies but am a bit afraid of hooking up the butane cannister to it wrong and having a gas leak that could be dangerous. I'm not particularly handy and don't know the names of a lot of construction materials or where to find/buy them, etc. I don't own a lot of the necessary tools or know what to buy to do what job either. I'm not envious that you DO know these things, but but am happy for you that you're able to do so much and to enjoy the experiences your videos present. I know this is a busy time of the calendar but I wanted to ask you a question (to be answered 'whenever'): Because you shoot videos of your constructions and camping trips there must be lots of additional starting, stopping, retracing of steps, and hopping out of the car to go back and fetch the video camera that just shot you 'driving away,' etc. Does the extra routine necessary to perform all these videographic logistics ever detract from your enjoyment of the camping experiences themselves? (This is a little like asking movie actors if they can ever watch their own films and experience enjoyment like a member of the general audience does.) Thanks so much, and may you be blessed, warm, well fed, and content. Don in northern Hoosierland
Great question! It definitely can detract from the enjoyment if you’re not careful. I’ve found that the best videos and experiences are the ones that are brand new, because there is that enthusiasm that you inevitably have and the need to take care of your basic needs, like getting the cabin setup and heated and making food ect. So these videos at the A Frame sometimes feel a little less exciting because it’s a space that we know so well. But this is where the next part of the strategy comes in…I think you just have to keep it simple and pick your moments to film and your moments to just enjoy. So there will be times where we just sit and enjoy and don’t roll the cameras. I also did a TV show with my best friend called Rock the Park that was about exploring national parks. We did that for 6 years and that gave me a lot of time to figure this out as well. There certainly were times where the filming became a drag, but we had to learn how to make sure that we kept it all in balance. Thanks so much for the great question!
I used to use wire hangers to make m wearth make a circle out of the hanger but don't take it apart it depends on how thick you want your wreath to be I would take two hangers and you can actually put tape around it like masking tape great ape then you can start adding all your stuff with the little tie clips or the ones you can buy in a roll and just put the sizes you need as it fills up then you can add pine cones or anything else you want to him and you already have a hook on the top you can get the florist tape and decorate the top of the hook to make it green or at your house all the way off the top of that and just hook it wherever you want
