Friend, do you think it is a good idea to go to banks by jan 7th? We tried walleye this spring and did great. But what about january? I see it will be really cold, but hopefully no wind. Just trying to find some place to go between seasons, but have no clue where.
i personally don’t know anyone that fishes for walleye there in the winter just the locals but seems like roosevelt is where more people go, we’re still pretty new to walleye though i would like to know myself
@@BoykoOutdoors i can offer you to go for walleye/smallmouth/trout in march or april to Banks. I have a boat perfect for 2 or 3 guys. Lets go together one day.
Just a heads up for Rufus Woods - if you use any bait, like nightcrawler, you can only keep your first two fish even if they are 1 lb, if you use artificial bait you can catch and release. I don't really care, but fish and game wardens will always ask you if you release any trouts, after you say that you did release few they will ask you if you used any bait - if you say that you used any bait they will happily give you a ticket, so be careful and don't say too much
Rufus Woods has some great walleye grounds, the last 5 times i was there i brought home my 8 limit.
that’s awesome, hopefully we can figure em out next time. we couldn’t catch one, our lake roosevelt ways didn’t work there
@@BoykoOutdoorstry deeper, 50-100 feet
