Al Gore, Senator from Tennessee didn't win his own State; he couldn't win the State from which his mentor, Bill Clinton came, Arkansas. If Gore had won either State (Tennessee with 11 votes or Arkansas with 6), he would have won the election, regardless of Florida. And Al Gore tucked his tail between his legs and refused to pursue the Florida recount, after the Supreme Court majority gave Bush the election. Blaming Nader for Bush's victory is the gutless response from an ineffectual Democratic National Party; it was and is an early variant of Russiagate. The only thing he ever said that was correct was 60 years ago......that the 60's-era cars had safety-issues (which was true). Since then, he has basically lived in a Pie-in-the-Sky world of the idea that the Federal Government can solve everything

Ralph Nader is still at the top of his game. Everything he said is spot on, from the "war inciting questions" point about the press, and the folly in "moral appeals" to the GOP rather than pointing out to the American people what the party is against. If the Democratic Party would use his playbook, things would change for the better. Thank you, Ralph.

The Democratic Party does not play by that playbook, because, fundamentally, they are on the side of the Republicans.
DNC is run by a very clueless group. Win or lose they are stil there. They fail to want to win. Happy being the losers since they get 'theirs". They don't have to work hard. Poor candidates running in Red States. Minorities are just that. Hard to win votes for them unless the are liked and known. New candidates show no photos of who they are and have no info. On their platform or experience. Send money to defeat one issue or an`other.

I've repeatedly said that the awful character of Trump was 'well known' long before he ever ran for President. The same can be said of Biden. His nearly 40 years in congress give us a very clear picture of who he is and what his priorities are.

Biden sings kum baya and holds hands with Americans while giving long speeches on how we need to love one another but won't give Americans a public option, student debt relief or even a minimum wage. People buy into that shit. It's like getting up in front of a crowd after you've chopped off the head of a 12 year old girl and holding it up high in the air while proclaiming, I'm a nice guy! Ralph Nader has been one of my heroes since the early 70s. I voted for him every time his name was on the ballot. If we had listened to him the world would be a much different, much better place. There are a number of executive actions he could write to get everything that was promised to the 80% of the citizens from left to right that is badly needed. Those orders would withstand court challenges because they are already within the constitution.

Of course, I agree with everything that Ralph Nader says, but we can't expect much more from Biden than we are already getting, all he had to do to get my vote was to not be trump. Now he is left to clean up the aftermath and bring things back to a pre-trump normal. You really can't expect more than that from a corporate Democrat who only has a few good years left to be effective. We need more people like Ralph Nader who will stand up to moneyed interests and truly help the American people.

As you heard, Nader tried four times to run for president. Now he is silenced by being banned from major media outlets, including NPR. Bernie Sanders decided not to form a third party because he didn't want to "end up like Ralph Nader".

I am not a particular supporter of Nader but sometimes he is on point. He points out things Democrats and Republicans often don't speak about. This is why they both black balled him during several campaigns.

Yup. I usually agree with her analyses, esp on Russia & Ukraine, but I was a bit surprised to hear her say that. Guess some people are positive regardless of being inside a tsunami of disaster, but as a journalist, one would think she wouldn't be. I watch way too much news every day, and the only positive thing I can say is I'm glad I'm over 65 and ill. All I'm trying to do now is fulfill a life dream of finishing and publishing a book...maybe I'll make it a short story...just in case time isn't on my side.

Ralph Nader has been the champion hero of the people since the 60's. If he had been elected as president of the United States back when he campaigned our planet would not be in the jeopardy that it's in now. Compassion, integrity, transparency and accountability for all!

@@AlaricTheArcane Term limits also doesn't fix the fact that major party candidates are vetted ahead of time and only those who pass the test are allowed to run with any prayer of winning. Some once said: "I don't care who votes as long as I can pick the candidates." And that's exactly what's going on.

How did the spoilers get in and the best candidates pushed out? The Media supporting the fossil fuel and military industries running on fossil fuels blacking them out?
